I get to control everything, I get to know where she is, if I get upset I could lock her favorites apps lol. I simply love it!!

This app was great for my younger son. I could turn his phone off for bedtime, approve or deny games and unlock phone if needed, etc. However once I was able to replace my older son's phone (expensive), the app only allows for setup of kids under 13 years. How come you don't raise the age limit throughout high school years? With all the school shootings, bullying, missing persons and even teen suicide, parents need to know what their kids are up to. I wish your app provided this. Now I have to look for a different app.

We were getting ready to get my son his first real email address, one with a unique username he was excited for and which I would have the password to and he would only be able to use with supervision. We were told that he’s too young for a Gmail account unless we want to use family link, so that’s what I tried to set up. We created the account and tried to sign in but couldn’t. None of the apps worked despite using them on compatible devices. I couldn’t change his age so that his account would work independently, so finally we got frustrated and deleted the account, not realizing that the username was gone forever. Google SAYS you can recover family email accounts but they lie, full stop, because the option to do so is nowhere. The account name is gone forever, my son is sad, and I’m angry. Phooey on this app and on Google telling me what my child can and can’t have. Future plans: lie to Google.

I love this app and that I can control her settings from my phone. Set time limits, set usage times, view the apps their on the most etc. if she keep picking up her phone when it’s chore or homework time, guess what, I can lock the phone, so even if she does have the phone, it turns into a brick. Don’t like that app, restrict it. I like that it has a rolling pin for parent mode as well so if I lock it they would have to get into my phone in order to get on theirs. I will be installing this on their tablet as well!
Frustrating experience

If the app worked correctly, seems like it could be a very helpful product. However, I almost was greeted with the message “trouble updating with this account” when I attempted to log in. My daughter went on a couple overnight field trips and I wanted to change the curfew or provide her with the ability to contact me and I was Never able to get into the account. We’ve had the app for approximately 6 months and I believe I’ve been able to successfully access the account 5-6 times. Today after several login attempts, I was finally able to gain access. I then quickly googled how to remove the app and then I subsequently lost access. I am unable to log back into the account. I’ve spent so much time..,hours of time,on this app and left feeling frustrated.

This app does not work, and WILL render your chills devices unusable. It has taken me several hours, and many phone already, and family link is still holding my child tablet hostage. Further, don't think your getting help from google. They say they are transferring you, but the person at the transfer number tells you that you have the wrong number.

I recommend this app. For one it’s FREE!!!!! Then it works!!!! What’s better then Free and Working? NOTHING!!!!! But it also is very helpful if your child goes to school not near you and you need to locate them. Also teaches your child bed time and allows you to monitor their screen time. It’s AMAZING!
