Basicly useless for work

As former user of G Suite in my company. I wish so much that Google Workspace - Chat will bring functionality like Slack or Teams. What a missed opportunity by Google here.

Log On a Rat
Couldn't log into my account. Once i log in it didn't take me to the chat. It took me to add a account

Me and my friends use google hangouts instead. We can create chats and call for free and all on one app. This you have to pay for some business thing to create chats and you have to call on google meet. Hangouts is better.
No way to switch accounts on the fly

I am still using the classic hangouts for this reason and more, it’s just I hate the fact that there is no way to switch accounts without reinstalling the app.
Not for work definitely

This is supposed to be a work chat, to discuss tasks, projects about and around your work. The chat thread idea is definitely the best in this product. And that’s all. You can’t send multiple images, files, links with one message, so it’s absolutely unsuitable to discuss complex projects.

This is an underperforming app. It lacks even basic features (group chat, multi profiles), and the advanced features are .. migrating? Evolving? Stripped? Who knows. Google might, but they’re not saying. It’s worse In nearly every way that hangouts, and even that was underwhelming as an app.
I can’t even use it

I’m trying to go ahead and transfer before hangouts is deleted but every time I select an account, and I even tried creating a new one, it says the account “organization” doesn’t have access to google chat. I’m not in an organization, I’m just trying to chat with my online friends.
