Wish that hangouts would come back

So first I transferred from google hangouts and I lost all my groups with my friends Second thing is that you can add bots idk why you can but ok third thing wen ever trying to make another the group conversation it’s always so hard fourth thing every time you want to say something new you have to click make a new thread which is annoying fifth thing I have like 3 different apps for google chatting now six thing it will not let me copy and paste I wish that hangouts would have just stayed also now I have like 3 different apps for google chating
So much potential....

I wish rooms could be moderated by the creator of the room, by an educator for example. This could be such an easy tool to get kids/students to connect during this difficult time. I repeat.... please create moderator tools! Thanks for your consideration.
Just Make One App That Does ALL

Can google take some design clue from China’ Wechat? One app catch it All! Just combine Google Chat, Google Hangout, Google Meet and Google Duo into one App. One app that can Chat, audio calls, video 1:1, video group! It is confusing to try to explain to my mom why need so many different apps for similar tasks. At China, even a 70-years old know to use Wechat! It’s just one App they ever need to remember! WeChat is also Paypal, Instagram and Facebook in China. So powerful. It does pretty much everything. We can argue that is monopoly, however we can not deny it’s convenience and usability. Why can’t Google make a super app for everything!!! I understand Google intent Google Meet as a professional app with Monthly Fee. However, it would be so easy to design a mega communication App that is free for most users for simple 1:1 call and small group video call. Once a user tries to launch a call with large number of ppl, this app could prompt a message for app upgrade with monthly subscription or pay-per-use to allow large group video conference.
Opening PDFs in app

App will not open any PDF sent as an attachment. Works fine when using on PC or Mac, but on iPhone it states there is an error and to try again later. Not really convenient since it’s a main form of communication within my company and I frequently use it to open documents while I’m away from my computer.
Extra steps to video call

I really prefer the old way of calling people to video chat. It was quick and only required one click.

I wish we still had hangouts but I like chat better be cause you can join rooms without telling your freind
Should not require O/S upgrade!

Absurd that I have to upgrade my O/S to use this app at all now.
Attachments error out and app crashes

Not sure wth they were doing to “fix” the app w latest update but now I am getting all sorts of attachment issues etc.
