I am an avid reader and so are many of my friends so the good reads app is a tremendous way to keep in touch to see who's reading what and if it may be of interest to me for future readings. Love it!

It does the bare minimum of what it needs to do. You can look up books from their exhaustive database & track your reading progress. Some of the small details are cumbersome & it doesn't offer any of the author functionality of the website. The scan function has also never worked.

This app is wonderful. Instead of getting reviews and ratings from a few thousand people about a book, you get tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of opinions. You can see what your friends are reading and organize the books you've read or want to read. No more random lists of "I'd like to read" that you eventually loose

I love having a list of books I have read, but I agree with a previous reviewer, there is no way to log or count a book I have read before. This happens occasionally, when I buy a book and forget to look it up on my Goodreads list, and find I have already read it before! I read it again to remember the story!
