Careful when preserving work

When I cracked my ipad I made sure to back up the ipad before it went for repair. When it returned it was wiped but I did not think that would be an issue. WAs dissapointed to find out that backing up your ipad's data does NOT include the data stored within this app. You need to save the files separately via iCloud assuming you have paid for the correct amount of storage. Backing up the data on a device should include the data within the apps. I had created .pdfs of some important work but would still estimate that I lost ~200 hours of work from this mistake.

Been having so many problems with GoodNotes with the fountain and brush pen…it goes from thick to thin without interventions and it makes my notes look ugly I had to revert to the ball point pen cause it’s the only one that works. When using text, the text box won’t let me click and the keyboard won’t appear. Also with the text tool, when I click edit it goes back to the original formatting and I have to start all over again. Why did I pay so much money for these bugs to ruin my experience?? Why is it not working on my laptop now?? It’s been “loading my experience” for 2 hours now and I deleted and downloaded again and NOTHING!

A couple things haven’t been working as I use this app on an iPhone and iPad, it’s that some items are not shareable. The iPad always says failed to share document. Another downfall is that the if you don’t have the same font on both devices it won’t work.
Why does it always encounter a problem when it is syncing to my iCloud server?

The app itself is pretty decent, but it always have an issue whenever it syncs to my iCloud server, so I cannot use the all features of this app. It says to update GoodNotes, but when I come to App Store to update it, there is no update. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the app itself is pretty decent. But it lost three stars because bugs weren’t fixed at all.

I love GoodNotes but it doesn’t give you a lot of space. It will go in and out until you find things to delete. Also sometimes the app just shuts down on its own. If it didn’t have these problems or if I could buy more storage it would be perfect.

This has worked seamlessly from day one. I use this exclusively for all my note taking with my Apple Pencil. Love that I can take notes on my iPad and have them on all my devices including my Mac. The only thing that is missing for me is to have an automatic date and time stamp on my hand written notes, then it would be 5 STARS for me. Is this something that is available and Im just missing it? I’m updating my review to be more clear. I would love to see a time stamp of when the note was taken. Currently when I start my day and begin writing a new note I write the day and time next to the note that I’m writing, this would be great if it were automatic and can be searched by the day. I don’t believe that any other note taking app that I’ve used in the past had this feature and could just be me asking for something no one else would use.

This program is pretty fantastic and I love using it with all the templates and setups that exist out in the world. A couple things I've noticed when using it is that sometimes the linked portions of things don't seem to work after editing a page within in the PC version. In addition, PLEASEEE add the ability to type in a number for the line spacing. The plus or minus button only ticking up every .01 every time is driving me nuts.

It is my best purchase - wouldn't even know where to start on how much it has helped me as a student at Harvard. But deeply wish it would have the audio recording component!
