Great extension of Good Todo online

Tracy @ Logy Express

I love Good Todo and have been using the online version for a couple of years--I reviewed it favorably on my blog Logy Express. This app is a welcome extension of the service for the iPad. The current version is very good. I like that you can now more easily re-prioritize tasks. My one complaint (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that you can't delete a task, like you can on the online version. Or if you can, I'm just not seeing how.

Success!

Finally -- I've have a system that combines the best of a paper based planner with all of the bells and whistles of an electronic system. Being able to forward emails to Good Todo, being able to future post, being able to access on all of my devices. . . ahhhhhhh. Life is Good (Todo)!

A must-have productivity app

There are few tools that I consider a must-have; this is definitely one of them. A truly one-of-a-kind app, Good ToDo revolutionizes the way that I work and has vastly improved my efficiency. When paired with all of the lessons of _Bit Literacy_ (by Mark Hurst), I have become a more effective leader and change-agent within my organization. Get it. Live it.

Finally settled on a todo app

Requirement: a simple todo app to use on Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad. Tried: many! Good Todo is the winner. I like the way it keeps my lists shorter by having a new list for each day. I don't want the complexity of RTM or Toodledo with tags and priorities. I can hide my Home list in a folder so it won't bother me at work. I can write details about the item. I use recurring todos for my daily tasks and put items on a later list. In short, Good Todo helps me organize and remember without overwhelming me. I've stopped looking for another solution.

Simple, yet powerful. Seamless across iPhone, iPad, web, email!

Totally worth my $3/month. This handy app is so simple--create todos anywhere, they show up everywhere (all of your devices, plus website, email). Great cross-platform cloud integration. Its also has powerful settings so you can tweak it to fit your workflow--like categories, and my favorite, the 'new in v2.06', make the adding of a todo on the website a field instead of a link. They have done a great job at keeping the user interface minimalist and simplistic, while still allowing for alot of helpful features. So many apps start out well, but succumb to feature creep as they grow in user base and age, which usually worsens the main user's experience. That has NOT happened here--nice work!

Nice app in support of an elegantly simple but useful service

WhaddayaKnow

It's difficult to assess this app separately from the Good Todo service itself, since they rather go hand-in-hand. Good Todo has proven itself as the only task management approach that's ever truly worked for me. I feel more organized, more productive and more in-control than I have at any point in my professional (or personal) life. Of course, any tool of this sort requires disclipline and commitment, and Good Todo is no exception, and this app is one piece of that puzzle for me; being able to access and manage tasks anywhere, anytime is essential. The real elegance of Good Todo is in its simplicity. You won't find over-the-top "featureitis" in Good Todo; it's very focused, and encourages you not to overthink and overanalyze. It's about capturing the tasks, and making appropriate decisions about them. This particular version of the app has a bug related to new tasks, but an update is already in the pipeline. No matter; it's still one of a handful of apps I use multiple times every day. Love it!

Actually helps without becoming another task!

When recent project volume started reaching insanity levels, I searched for recommendations for a to do list app that was almost as easy to use as my handwritten Moleskine pad. I saw Good Todo recommended on LifeHacker. I spent a few minutes with the trial version in my browser and immediately subscribed to the service. It's the best $18/yr I've ever spent! The iPhone app is superb - couldn't be easier or more helpful. Each day it takes me directly to my list for that day - and I can easily navigate to past or future dates. I can filter by category, and search my to do's. As a coder, I can receive a lot of requests throughout the day - rapid fire. Good ToDo lets me quickly add a task, give it a category, assign a date - and add notes. I can even forward emails to my Good ToDo list - giving it a day due and category in the subject line. I didn't want a project management app that wants to become my new life philosophy. I don't have time to spend learning some complex approach to managing my life. I want something that helps me get things done, and makes my life easier without taking over! This is that app. While you're at it - check out the app creator's Good Experience newsletter (good experience.com). I've been a subscriber for a few years - it's always good for insight, inspiration and ideas for improving customer/user experience. Mark Hurst knows his field. Highly recommend!
