Want to use this but can't

Does anyone support and update this app? It always says the listings will take a moment to load ... I have a few minutes but not a lifetime! Always just give up. Too bad, I'd use it all the time if it worked.

Less is more.

Great mag. Lousy app. No app is better than one that doesn't work.

Excellent app

Gives great overview about what's going on in NYC. Great guide to NYC cultural happenings for locals & visitors alike.

Crashes

As I can't find a contact for support, I use this comment to let the developers know that the app no longer works: it crashes systematically when trying to download content.

Imagine the magazine with mostly blank pages

I love The New Yorker. I have it's iPhone and iPad apps and read them. I subscribe to the print edition and have for years. I know The New Yorker. Goings On, you are no New Yorker. As a New Yorker writer once said about Oakland, "there is no there there." This is but a shell of an app. There's hardly any content. Try to find restaurant? Have a choice of among 5 to 10 restaurants. And this in the city with how many thousands of restaurants? William Shawn would turn over in his grave if he could see what his successors have done with this app. It's hardly representative of New York. In fact it doesn't even begin to represent what New York could possibly be to the smallest minuscule infinitesimal decimal point of its visitors. Whoever is responsible for this app should be embarrassed and ashamed. Yes, it's that bad. Or rather, there's that much lacking.

Unusable

Apparently this app is no longer supported. That's all I can figure since there's no evidence that it works or connects at all to a backend database.

Disappointing.

I was not put off by the lack of choices at first because I attributed this to the limited range of dates I had selected. However when I selected a different date the events never changed, and quite often the events would be over well after they have them listed here. This may be a good tool for tourists standing on a corner desperate for a quick meal pick, as you can choose a category by neighborhood. But for anyone else there's little here you can not find elsewhere with better presentation and up to date information.

Terrible app, nothing works as it should

I would like to use it for art shows but here is a normal app interaction: Open the app, forgetting all the past problems. Select galleries, pick a neighborhood, and... No results. Ok. Then how about I look at ALL galleries to figure out what there is to see around here? Oh, you don't actually list the venues. Interesting. So many good shows and yet I will never know where they are.

Nothing but crashes

yanikto

The app crashes on any attempt to select a date or an activity.
