This is a great app. I regularly use it to decide what to do in my area on a given night. I often recommend it to people, particularly those who feel "overwhelmed" but the options in New York or don't know where to look for information and reviews. My one suggestion which prevents me from giving a perfect rating - please color code the map! If the pins for restaurants, concerts, theater, art galleries, etc., were each a different color, it would allow the user to quickly narrow in on their interest, instead of having to click through a bunch of restaurants before finding a show.
Now nothing's "going on"

Splash screen loaded (complete with glaringly obvious MasterCard sponsorship mention), check. Ridiculously tiny horizontal MasterCard ads animating in app, check. Content? Nada. Zippo. Zilch. Blank black hole. Please fix!!! Until then it's TimeOut NY which is inferior when it comes to covering culture-based events in the Big Apple.

Dang, do I love The New Yorker, but this app is basically useless, because you can't filter by date. In fact, the only way to see event dates is to click into the event, then clunkily return (no swiping). PLEASE let me just see What's Going On today (or tomorrow...or next Friday).
Good app. Favourites do not work

A very good and clear app to find out what to do in New York on a variety of topics. I did not rate higher because the very useful "Favourite" function does NOT work: your favourites get replaced by generic suggestions, and your own are deleted. That's really too bad. It's hard to have to re-find everything one likes in the mass of activities. Please fix this.

Last time I was in NY, when I opened this app it said there was nothing happening in NY! On this trip I decided to try it again, now it just keeps crashing.

This was the most amazing go-to app for everything in NYC...and then all of a sudden it simply doesn’t work! What happened? Get the old development team back!

I think the app has been abandoned. Crashes 100% reproducibly on nearly every function. Last updated 6 months ago.

After yesterday’s update, the “Favorites” section crashes 100% of the time, rendering the app useless for planning a weekend in the City. (In addition, under the “Arts” section, it shows events that have already closed.)
