Imagine the magazine with mostly blank pages – Goings On: The New Yorker Review

I love The New Yorker. I have it's iPhone and iPad apps and read them. I subscribe to the print edition and have for years. I know The New Yorker. Goings On, you are no New Yorker. As a New Yorker writer once said about Oakland, "there is no there there." This is but a shell of an app. There's hardly any content. Try to find restaurant? Have a choice of among 5 to 10 restaurants. And this in the city with how many thousands of restaurants? William Shawn would turn over in his grave if he could see what his successors have done with this app. It's hardly representative of New York. In fact it doesn't even begin to represent what New York could possibly be to the smallest minuscule infinitesimal decimal point of its visitors. Whoever is responsible for this app should be embarrassed and ashamed. Yes, it's that bad. Or rather, there's that much lacking.
