GPS Optional?

Lilbirdy

I would love to see an option to turn the GPS on/off for “caregiver”. I absolutely want it on when the grandparents are babysitting or taking the kids somewhere, however I want to switch it off when they are not! As an adult, I don’t need my parents seeing our every move through the kids watches when we are not together. The kids enjoy texting feature with their grandparents. It would also be awkward to turn them into “Buddies” now since grandparents already put GizmoHub app on their phones and are used to texting the kids. This technology is going to cause family drama - please update with a feature to turn GPS on/off for caregivers.

Gizmo watch review

Reba000#1

The app is fabulous! However the watch its self is very disappointing. The band itself is below par. It easily comes apart. Our grandson’s fell off and the crystal was crushed. This happened in less than 24 hours after he received the watch. He was carrying a tub and the band got caught and it came apart. If these are for young children, a different band needs to be researched. We could find no one to replace the crystal. The watch still works. We’re hoping you’ll stand behind your product.

Disappointed

This app requires you to share your information with the company as part of the terms of service. And this is for use with children. Additionally, creating an account leaves much to be desired. One example being when asked to input a received code I'm looking for a text and receive an email the first time and the reverse the second time. Of course neither time am I forewarned. The more frustrating example was creating a password. It kept telling me I hadn’t used the proper mix of letters, capitalized letters, numbers and symbols. As it turned out, my passwords were too long. So much for Verizon's recommendation. In hindsight I should have insisted on an Applewatch for the grandchild.

Love it, but...

We just got this for my daughter and so far we are happy just one problem wish there was away to delete the old notifications... every time my daughter mutes or turns on and offer notifies me which great but my list of notifications are getting to long...

Elderly

Moms89 and terminal

I am so surprised that this watch has not been marketed for the elderly. After my 89 year old mother fell at home alone and barely made it to the phone, I searched for a device to help her get ahold of her and visa versa. This watch has been a godsend. She can call me, I can track her, all the things GizmoHub does has given me peace of mind. I had to change the watch band which was a chore. I had to go to Walmart, buy a cheap watch and change the band. This is a great watch for the elderly.

App makes the watch useless

Save your money and just get your kid a apple or android watch. The app for this watch is awful/ this is our 3rd watch and sadly I had to update my app from one of the first versions which I wish I genuinely regret. All the new updates on the app ruined it, nothing ever works and it takes so long to load anything. The original version of the app worked so well not sure what the techs were thinking when they made changes. Like the saying goes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
