Highly recommend this app

Breathless74

I have attempted to start running many times before, and have always hated it. This app changed all that, and got me seriously hooked on running. It pushes you just the right amount, so that you are progressing but not getting discouraged. I had no trouble finishing, and have since (several months later) completed my first half marathon and am training for a full. My 54 year old father has also just completed the program, and loved it as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get in shape, or wants to start running!

Really like this app, Claire is great

I'm trying to get back to running, after laying off for far too many years. I started with the C25K free app, which I liked, but couldn't upgrade due to my iPod Touch being unable to run the required software version. I found Get Running, and I love it. I like the visual display that lets me know how far along am, as I can read it without my glasses. The sound prompts that let me know I'm halfway through a run, or that I've only got 15 seconds more, are great and help me keep going.

Got me running for the first time in my life

After being that kid in grade school who came in last for running the mile, I'm now running 28 minutes straight in my 8th week of running. The pacing of the running increases is perfect. Every time the intervals increased, I thought I couldn't do it, but I did. It feels great. I hope to keep increasing after the 9th week to 40 minutes, then just increase speed.

Incredible app!

Absolutely love this app! It change my life from someone who "could never think about running" to someone who finished a 5k then ran a sprint triathlon! I dropped 50 lbs the first time I used it, then had an unrelated injury and gained most of it back. I'm starting back again and have already started seeing results by week 3! I only wish they had a 10k app with the same type of cues. I like bluefins Bridge to 10k, but would prefer these voice cues instead of a "ding".

Just what I wanted

A simple, tell me what to do kind of app. No frills, and it works. I really like the basic interface and just following orders. You did not see that coming. In all honesty, I got back into running because of this app and will be graduating to train for a 10K soon. Worth every penny

Fantastic!

Great--easy to use app. I've been running in the park a few times a week. Very exciting for a non-runner...

Ran my first 5k last month

This app is helpful to help you train for your first 5k. I recommend that you allow more like 12 weeks than 9 from start to finish. By the time I got to 9 weeks where you are running 30 minutes continuously I realized I was only running 2 miles in that time. So it took a couple more weeks to get up to a 5k. Also I wish you could turn off the vocal cues entirely because they don't pause for podcasts or audiobooks. Regardless I recommend this app because it truly did help me complete my first 5k!

Best App To Start Running

poser_programmer

I've tried several running apps both paid and free and by far this is the best. If you're looking for a couch to 5K program that works look no further.

Got me off my fanny!

Love this program. Super easy interface, can choose amount of verbal coaching you get, and it really works. I use this app to run with friends from work and we plan on entering our first 5K run in a few weeks!!! No one can believe it; I used to hate exercise, especially running!

Finished my first 5k today.

Asketo

This app really works. Started running for the first time nine weeks ago... Finished my first charity run today. Great interface, no unnecessary features, reminds you when to run and when to rest. I wish this company made more fitness apps!
