Inexpensive family fun!

I have been enjoying geocaching since 2007 and can't get enough of it! My 6 year old daughter and I are constantly searching for caches everywhere we go. She continues to get better and better at the mysteries and loves to hold the GPS while walking to locations, great navigator! I've been involved in many "goeparties" or "georaces" and have an absolute blast! I am constantly recommending this avenue of inexpensive family or friend fun to everyone I come into contact with....I should get paid for advertising! It should be a 10 star rating!

What have you done with the old app that worked so well? This is next to useless! Bring it back for goodness sake. Upgrades are supposed to make things better.

Fun app for the whole family. Great whether you use free or paid version, but paid is obviously better.

Prefer to cache with my GPSr but I'd forget to log my trackables. Now that I've figured out how, I use my wife's 4G phone for more consistent trackable activities. FYI: this app is slower then a slug on my 3G phone.

I was disturbed at first that I would need to learn my way around a new app, but after a twenty cache run yesterday, I can say that I'm pleased with the new app. With that being said, I do most of my "heavy lifting" with my Garmin, and use the app for fill ins when I'm out and about. Yes, there are a few minor bugs, most notably for me, was the inability to give a favorite point when I logged the cache. I had to go back and do that from the site. I have no problem with the premium membership being needed. As a cache owner, I really dislike that my containers get stolen on occasion by people with nothing better to do than get a free membership and go round up ammo cans. All in all, I think this new app will be fine, once the inevitable bugs get worked out.
