Barely functional

The only addresses you can send the the nav from the app are: nearby searches, nearby Foursquare searches, and saved address from your contacts. Need to search a hotel 3 cities away and send address to nav? Can’t do it. Friends your meeting two hours away send you the address of where to meet them. Just copy and paste into the app you say and send it to my nav....you would be WRONG. There is no way to do that. Instead Garmin expects me to stand/sit at my MC maybe in the rain and search or manually enter address directly into my Nav VI unit...all without even a full keyboard requiring many more keystrokes. There is more functionality in all of the free NAV apps then in the $1k unit I purchased with my MC. Don’t be an idiot...Don’t be me and by the stand-alone Nav VI with your MC. Garmin is way behind even free apps like WAZE.
Send far off location

As a passenger I’d love to e able to search a location that is NOT nearby and send it. There does not seem to be an easy way to do this.

I got this app to get traffic on my Garmin Navigator 6 gps. It does show traffic, but is completely wrong. Maybe Garmin should pay Google for their traffic...please? By wrong I mean it shows there is a traffic back up where there is no traffic. Very unreliable information. Weather works too, but not very accurate either. This app just doesn’t fulfill what I need it to do so I deleted it. Garmin please work on the traffic and weather cause other than that I’m not sure why anyone would use this smart link app.

Up until iOS 12 dropped it worked great. But since I can only use half of blue tooth features as the app will not stay connected Update since the release of the new firmware on the gps it is working great
App is unstable

Bluetooth does not work well! When I try the trouble shoot tab it kicks me out of the app. Poor app from a good company.

I’ve been using this app for a few years to find, save, and send locations to my Garmin Nuvi. The improvements to maps for “Pick a location” feature was huge. Now, would you PLEASE add a search field so I can get close to what I’m looking for on the map rather than having to always start at my current location and pinch and zoom and scroll and swipe to the region of the world where I want to pick a location.

I have been using the drivesmart 61 for over a year & as of 04/19/19 the updates have changed the this app & I can not get my gps to stay connected to my iPhone X nor will live traffic & phone stay connected. I need this for my job please help ASAP
