This does NOT let you 3D model. It is only a viewer

y///i

I don’t know why everyone is giving review of Fusion 360 desktop app here. This app DOES NOT let you do 3D modeling like real Fusion 360. If this app was titled “Fusion 360 Viewer” I would give 4 stars, but as “Fusion 360”, I would give only one star because it has no modeling features and it is just misleading. Plus, what is the difference between this app and A360? To me they are exactly the same. For Fusion 360 desktop app, I would give five stars, and I am waiting for a day when this mobile app will truly be Fusion 360 and let you model on iPad.

Pointless

Can’t design anything only view existing designs. Useless for me

Always wanted to try 3d designing

Joenyli

Always wanted to create my own 3d designs. I took a class in Udemy and watched several videos on youtube. I got the hobby/personal version. I started creating designs in no time and my son prints them out for me. I really like the tool and hope to keep advancing my skills to someday do it professionally.

Unrivaled CAD/CAM

TeamJim!

I have used a handful of CAM software programs over the past two decades on a daily basis. Fusion 360 has room to grow but that is one of the things that makes it superior to other softwares, they are actively taking customer feedback and implementing improvements that are actually useful. Hands down the price is unbeatable for a powerful CAD/CAM software. There is no other program out there that has such a broad array of tools that all perform well. CAD, CAM, mechanical drawings, PCB design, analysis, generative design, 3D printing integration, cloud collaboration- Fusion 360 is all of this and so much more. Another great thing about Fusion is the vast amount of training available through Autodesk. It’s as if they actually want people to learn how to use this software. I rarely leave product reviews but this one is well deserved.

Horribly complicated

Sign in to browser, click here, open a new page, sign in here….overly complicated mess. Terrible UI as well. Not intuitive at all.

Over 50 and still learning.

1985 was the first time I saw a computer for the first time. Just barely. I’m not saying bad things about the “Tandy Square D”. By Radio Shack. I think that it’s name. Look it up, and marvel at all of it’s top of the line technology. Just a little about where came from. O say if I can run Fusion 360. You can too. Just enjoy the tutorials. There is a great family builds that loves to help and you find a solution or help learn how to use Fusion to solve it yourself. This doesn’t even touch the outstanding costumer service. which think is 24/7. Please don’t let anything hold you back, “get Fusion, you deserve it. With Fusion and a good 3D printer you can almost build anything. This is not a pay review I truly believe In Fusion 360 this much. I read the other reviews. Fusion 360 is not perfect. We know all to well that nothing is prefect. It’s not how perfect is Fusion. It’s far more important in what happens This is where Fusion, literally has thousands of people all over the World, that can’t wait to help you. Thanks for reading

The best overall maker app available

Angelo the complainer... ;)

From simple 2d sketches to complete machines. Amazeblls!

Not so free

It made me jump through hoops, then said that I had to setup a team before using the app. I have no team, and there were no instructions on how to do so even if I did. Unusable piece of crap.

Makes Technical Drawings Easy

Cubbetsy

I’m a furniture maker and designer. I’ve used Adobe Illustrator for over 10 years to “draft” my designs the old school way. I’ve used Fusion 360 for about a year and a half now and I’m so glad I made the leap. I can virtually eliminate mocking up any design in real life by making my models with Fusion. Altering a design is so fast. I make full size patterns with the send to PDF tool and then print on my large format printer to use directly in my shop. I also use the Shaper Tools Origin plug in to make vector cut files to use on my handheld CNC. It’s really sped up creating new designs or altering existing ones. I’m also taking years of designs and making models so that I can easily produce complete technical drawings. I do find a few limitations on lay out but I send the pdf to Adobe Illustrator and clean up and adjust the layout. The YouTube video by Lars Christiansen are amazing. They are getting a bit dated by I know of no other recourse where you can learn different aspects of Fusion so quickly and he’s got a congenial delivery thats enjoyable to watch.

Useless Viewer

AngerBee

It is ridiculously painful to log into this app. Turn on all auto completion, for the entire flow. INCLUDING iCloud verification codes. Having to jump back and forth to copy and paste passwords and verification codes is insane. Update: After that complete travesty of a UX, you then get into a completely useless read-only viewer that, again, you are asking for money to use.
