Freelancer is an excellent app and I love this website, but when someone awards you, they cut fees immediately so if the client doesn’t pay then you just lost your money moreover you worked hard for nothing!!! That happened to me twice, I tried to contact support (which is very fast responsive) but they just said wait for them (it’s been months till now)and they will send them a WARNING EMAIL!!! I’m writing this review to warn new freelancers, do NEVER accept work before your client place a milestone doesn’t matter what excuse they tell ,it’s always a lie !! Their lies costed me a lot so please don’t do my mistake..
App loves to crash

Personally i have never ever seen any FREELANCING app that is sooooo much buggy and is crashing every moment. There is no concept of session where the activity of user is being saved !!!! In addition to there is no good freelancer i have ever found on it that’s why fiverr is best at it .

Freelancer is a terrific service—pretty good customer support and nice sized network of talent. App is a disaster. Frequently glitches and breaks.

I have been doing freelance writing for years, and have built a client list with regular work and strong relationships. When i decided to try this website, I asked all my clients to sign up on here, and just direct my work through this platform. Sure, it would cost me a percentage of my fees. But i was happy to share with Freelancer, and bring all my work, money, and clients through their platform. Why not. It would build my resume and would help me get genuine reviews on freelancer from clients who love my work already Seemed like a win-win. Who’s going to hire a writer with no reviews on Freelancer? So i got my clients to sign up. I completed the work for them, quickly, as always, and rather than paying me directly as usual, they went through Freelancer.com. Not only was it a huge hassle for them (with a bad interface, and unclear instructions).... to add insult to injury, Freelancer cancelled the project, and blocked my boss. When i contacted customer service chat, i got Nicholl O., who was totally rude, unhelpful, and brusque. No explanation. BUT she did seem to have gone into my chat history with my boss (Holy BIG BROTHER spying vibes!!!!!!)... and asked why there wasn’t more data in the chat exchange i explained that i was bringing my hard earned clients onto their platform, so they could take a percentage of my work via relationships i have worked for years to build. And asked what the problem was with that? The customer service person was cold, like a robot. Wouldn’t give me any answers. Basically just brushed me off. Makes me want to take my money and business elsewhere. Then i researched online and it seems SO many people have had scammy shady experiences on this site. Not surprising.

Update: I raised the rating to three stars because the developer replies. Buy you can still see how horrible design is when the award button is assigned exactly next to go back button in the chat box! This couldn’t be worse!

All the employers on the app are scammers, my bank account was hit for charges and I’m still fighting for a refund for a project I cancelled due to the person being a scammer.
