The OWLR app and team have been a lifesaver! I’ve had my Foscam for over 3 years and could never seem to make it work remotely. I had worked with the camera company many times and they were not very helpful. I finally was determined to get the camera working. After hours and hours of work, I reached our to the OWLR team and within 2 email exchanges (with very prompt responses) I am now up and running! Thanks guys :)

App works great-confirm your camera model and what is/isn’t supported. Their support is great-I had a question about my camera and support and had an actual person email me back which was a welcome change.
Motion doesn’t work and no support

Since changing iOS devices (new iPhone) my paid motion alerts stopped working. I looked to see if I needed to re-register and went through the process right up until the end where the robot said I’m already registered. I emailed OWLER support about this and was told I am NOT registered. Well, I can’t, since I already am! That was the last I heard from anyone at OWLER even after many emails for weeks. Yesterday the motion alerts magically started working again likely because of a new billing cycle, but now I can’t shut them off! Once again I emailed support and have been completely ignored. So my only alternative is to cancel my motion alert subscription and send my endless string of alerts I can’t shut off to the spam folder which could possibly get OWLER blacklisted on my email provider. So now I get to find a new app that really works. Think twice about using this app because trying to get this to work, and now trying to remove it from my email has proved impossible

Password issues

Be careful with this app. It does not allow the same character set as your Foscam camera for the password. I have reported this twice to OWLR but no response or update to the app. Apart from having to use insecure passwords it’s an OK app.

This system is terrible. It doesn’t stay connected. Every time you need to use it you need to reconnect to the camera and the app won’t find the camera. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Almost unusable

The lag time between pressing the control in the app, say to change the camera direction, and seeing the picture changed is unacceptable. The native FOSCAM doesn't suffer the same lag.

Easiest IP Cam app yet. For a buck a month they handle all the port forwarding, motion alerts and pics sent to your e-mail address. Plus, when you get an Alarm photo to your e-mail, you can view live video with one push button located next to the picture! Pretty sweet! Thanks OWLR!
