New App Rating
A concerned subscriber

Oh my goodness. Was there any testing done with existing users before deciding to switch to this format? I enjoyed the previous app and easy access to news but may have to drop subscription because of frustration with ease of use and slow loading capability which is typically at least 10 seconds per page to load. There are too many news options to settle for this substandard product.

Not liking this change

Used to love reading star telegram on my iPad but since switch recently has been very frustrating. Very jumpy.... sometimes can only see part of article then jumps off. If not fixed soon may have to try a different paper. I switched to online version years ago and have been happy until last few weeks. Ugh

My Hometown Paper
LKHankins

Thanks for making the online version and app available! I get to read my hometown paper even though I’m no longer at home! The app provides all the great coverage of the FWST, and even throws in some news from other McClatchy owned news sources. The app performs well, loading quickly and accurately. My only criticism is that sometimes an ad will extend across the whole screen, and it’s difficult to scroll by it. Other than that, it’s a great mechanism to receive and read the news.

I love the app but now since you cannot read it without subscribing, I just look at the headlines. I’m on a fixed budget, since I retired. I live in West Texas and love keeping up with everything in Ft. Worth. The coverage of the news in Fort Worth is exceptional. Keep up the good work.

New app is terrible
Doug Panfil

Old app opened to a full screen just like a paper. This one is a pain to open. Only full screen shot is in download. And then you can not go to sections. Please change this. Ready to cancel the paper

Slow and Erratic

I’ve been an e-subscriber for many years, and this so called updated app is awful. It’s slow to focus, difficult to manipulate, and erratic in movement. It’s in need of much improvement, or go back to your older app.

Not a Newspaper

If I wanted Apple news I would click on it. This just looks like a collection of stories from different dates with no relevance to today’s local news. I want to see the print edition online.

New eEdition

I agree with the previous negative comments on the revised eEdition and have yet to see any improvement on my iPad. If this isn’t fixed in the next 25 days l will be canceling my subscription. Richard Sauer

New eedition is horrible
tested123

The last couple weeks I’ve tried using it on iPad, Android, and windows tablets and found the experience extremely frustrating. The app will let you see full screen but you cannot read it on a tablet. When showing full width it does not allow scrolling to the bottom. Very limited zoom and pan. Ads take up way too much space. Does anybody actually test this app? Now today I’m signed in and when trying to access the paper format it forces me to a subscription page and it cannot even find my account. The old olive software at least worked. This app does not work at any price.

Worthless app. Hardest read ever. Where is the newspaper?? Whoever designed this needs to go back to school. Please let us read a classic newspaper. Please bring back the edition app. Try reading it on a phone or iPad through this. Worthless.
