Bad search, poor UX

mrigdon

The search takes forever and almost always yields bad if not strange results. The app is generally slow and buggy, especially the ads. And the rest of the UX is just generally bad. I would pay Rotten Tomatoes money to build an app so I don’t have to use this one

Be careful!

Marty9175

I booked tickets through this app for a theatre near my house. When I showed up for my movie (5 people!), I discovered that Fandango actually sold me tickets for another theatre. I wrote to Fandango for a refund, but because it wasn’t before the time I booked, there is no refund for me. Not a good experience.

Just an awful app

Mr. Yosemite

I used to love Flixster, but it now seems more focused on generating money than creating a good user experience. Those things shouldn’t be mutually exclusive for a company that cares and possesses a small amount of technical and design expertise.

Glitching?

Awesome Girl 101 Mojo

The app was working perfectly up until this past week. I wanted to go to the movie Little Women and I looked on Flixter, seeing it started at 9:30. When I got to the theater it wasn’t even open. I looked on flixter and saw that the movie started at 11:30. It did not originally say this. I do not know if this is glitching or something else but I hope it can be fixed. Thank you! - A

Too Many Fake 90+ Reviews

Delaware Teacher

Too often I find the the reviews are so far off.

Erased Data

AlyseNicole2

Erased all my saved likes and movies I wanted to see.

Displeased

machubeechu

Terrible app unfortunately the only one that has RT reviews. Not only do they confuse new releases in the theater with “at home” releases, the most recent screw up is cutting off the critic consensus...come on people, it can’t be that hard to make a competent app...have some pride in your work. It doesn’t even deserve one star

Rotten Tomatoes

Monster-zero

RT needs it’s own app. Along the lines of IMDB. This app is useless.

BUGGY

mikelivesintexas

This app is SO buggy. It won’t save any of my ratings, nor my “Want to See” list. The “not interested” option has mysteriously disappeared as well.

EDIT: App has been Fixed! (orig title: Internal Server Error - defunct app)

TrinitronX

I’m happy to report that this app has been updated and is now working properly as it did before! Keep up the good work! This is the most convenient app I’ve found to view theaters, movie showtimes, rotten tomatoes reviews, DVD/BluRay releases and those releases that are coming soon. Also supports purchasing tickets through Fandango. Original Review (when app was broken): What started as a decent app to access Rotten Tomatoes reviews, movie showtimes and summaries has now turned into a broken and abandoned app. Opening the app to any page shows “Internal Server Error” messages, which indicates that there is a problem server-side where this iOS app client used to access it’s data from. After searching a bit online I found out that Flixster was acquired by Fandango in 2016, and then announced that they were completely discontinuing their service as of February 20th 2018. So this app is yet another casualty of 21st century predatory capitalism and corporate phagocytosis.
