Great app. If you travel often this is an app you need to have. I like the clean UI without all the noise of excessive information or multiple swipes or extra steps.

Failed to find flights

I downloaded the app to support Daring Fireball. The app failed to find BA8985 and BA6123 on 7/29/2017. Deleted the app.

Needs more features.

My life crashed and burned when FlightTrack 5 was discontinued. But you're gonna need to have A LOT more features if you think you're going to charge me a SUBSCRIPTION. ?

Pretty but pricy

When other apps do what this app does for free and when the cost of more useful services like TripCase or TripIt is similar... We'll, it's your money.

This is a pretty bare bones flight tracker program. You have to enter your flights by hand (no Tripit or similar import) and it doesn't even list your seat number. It's missing lots of things that frequent travelers have come to expect (seating charts, where the arriving flight at the gate is coming from and it it is delayed, weather at the destination, etc.) Appintheair is a much more full featured (probably too full featured!) modern alternative. When you add the subscription only model and a privacy policy that allows them to do whatever they want with your data, I think there are better options. You would think that paying a subscription would buy you some privacy but apparently remarkably little! Too bad flight track pro has died. It had just the right level of functionality.

TripIt is far more robust for this type of service and TripCase gives you notifications for free. Basic flight tracking should be a feature. Looks pretty but that's about it. Not pretty enough to overcome lack of functionality let alone pay for it.

I travel quite a bit myself. I also have close friend and family members that do too. All of those use cases make it essential that I track flights. Particularly these days where airlines are unpredictable. This app allows me to do just that. It's super easy to use which takes the headache out of consulting websites for individual airlines. I'm getting the sense that I'll be using this app regularly for the foreseeable future.
