Found this looking for travel tech. It's better than TripIt and some others, b/c it's less complicated, more straightforward. Others have too many bells and whistles. I could teach this to my mom. And I'll post it as suggested for my teams next conference. Recommend highly for non-IT types who just want the relevant features.

I'm a frequent traveler and downloaded FlightLogger before a recent trip from ATL to LGA. It's a pretty straightforward app: you look up your flight and add it to the list of trips to track, then set the notifications you'd like to receive. I chose to reminders 1 and 2 hours before my flight, and to get updates of flight changes. For me, the best part was those notifications of flight changes. It alerted me to gate changes and delays, which was really helpful. The notification I didn't enable, but that I can see being quite useful, was a notification that my flight had landed. I'll be using that to track the progress of loved ones' flights, and I know my dad (who loves to keep track of where and when his kids are traveling) will use it all the time, once I tell him about FlightLogger.

Amazing new update. Makes independent trips easier to manage and enjoy the notifications for the flights. Finally an app easy to use understand gives me more info than I expected. Clean and easy to read and track.

If you want flight status just google it. You can also get free notifications from the airline app. Don't pay $15 a year for something that already exsists for free! Use an app like Travel Time which gives you flight status and tells you when you should leave for the airport with traffic and wait times. App in the Air and TripIt are also way better than this app. The founders did not do proper research, this app shouldn't exist.

Import feature doesn’t work. Forwarding my itinerary returned that it couldn’t be processed because I’m not a premium user. The app says “you are premium” and the App Store’s “manage subscriptions” section shows that FlightLogger’s subscription is active. Still works great if you manually type in your itinerary.

I just installed and loaded several trips manually; since there are no instructions on where to send itineraries in the app. I have since found out that itineraries can only be sent with the pro version. On 9 flights, one had the wrong flight number for the flight we are on. Perhaps it would have worked better if I could have emailed the itin. In communicating with the very helpful support folks, they found that there is an issue where the times were showing up for the wrong time zones. A fix is being worked on

Heavy travelers have one spot for their itinerary details — not just flights. TripIt is the top dog here. You forward confirmations and it assembles your itinerary — including air, car service, hotel, rental cars, etc. Sadly this beautiful app does not integrate with Tripit. Instead, for an in app purchase, you can pay for their own “lite” version — one that does flights only. So I am using the far uglier, but Tripit enabled app Flight Update Pro.

I have the general info about the flight but no real time update. I’m checking up a flight and if I look on internet the flight will arrive later than expected but on the app I don’t have this info and the wrong terminal as well
