No longer working

Love this app but after the recent update it crashes every time I open it.


Shady practices... no trial period?

I just tried to place an order and it looks like my 30 day free trial at club orange has been revoked after only a week or so. I have placed two orders so far which I have not yet received. After just a few days of the Club Orange trial period started it disappeared off my account. I received an email saying they are discontinuing Club Orange and that my credit card will not be charged the $2/month membership fee but I didn’t realize my trial period would just dissolve magically. That isn’t what I agreed to. I called Hollar’s customer service expecting that it was perhaps just a bug on your app, but was informed that this was a decision that Hollar management approved and nothing could be done about it. They actually told me that I had misunderstood the email they had sent, which I then read aloud to the customer service rep. I understood it fine. It never said they were cancelling all trial periods for Club Orange. The rep also explained they are revamping Club Orange but why not let the new customers trial period run out instead of just cutting them off with no explanation? That’s a great way to scare off new customers, in my opinion. I have to wonder what other policies will Hollar just change without honoring? I guess their written word means nothing. For that reason I will not be placing any future orders with Hollar. While I understand the company is trying to change a feature, I don’t believe the right thing to do is just shut down something when you have promised a 30 day trial to new customers. That sends a really bad message and lacks integrity. I think Hollar had a good concept here but they don’t seem to care about their customers or following through with what they have already agreed to. I can’t justify giving them my business or referring friends and family to them if this is how they do business and this is how they treat their customers. I received a response from Hollar stating that ‘it’s important to Hollar that their customers have an exceptional experience.’ It’s not enough to just say this to a customer. Hollar actually needs to make that happen by treating customers well, otherwise saying you care means nothing.

I have been purchasing items that my church will use to pack shoeboxes this fall that will go to children around the world. Operation Christmas Child through Samaritans Purse. The items I have received are of good quality and shipments are received quickly. I will continue to order throughout the year. Thanks Hollar!


Frustrating

I used to love Hollar and I’ve spent more than my share of cash on Hollar but for some reason now shopping is a nightmare! Pages won’t load, when I open an item for details and close it the search takes me all the way back to page one. It never used to do this. So then I’m left scrolling through pages and pages of crap looking for the place I left off at. I’m so irritated I’m done with you Hollar!

I love this app. It's not useless at all, you just click categories and can get many things for a fraction of the price you'd pay for them in stores, I can spend an embarrassingly long time browsing and adding things into my shopping cart to purchase later. When I got my first shipment, it not only took a quick 5 days, but EVERYTHING was in boxes. Brand. New. It blew me away, and I can't wait to buy more things from them in the future~!


No shipping to Hawaii

I would have given this app a great rating but up that was before they stopped shipping to Hawaii. The prices are great but only to the 48 states. Hawaii & Alaska is like the wicked step sisters that gets the crappy things. We're part of the 50 states too.

They make it almost impossible to delete your account, I was barely able to find a link to the page that sends me to another page to be able to delete my account from there. It didn't work, had to send a message to delete it. I wanted to dele my account because the items were ones I could find in the 99 cent store for cheaper.


Hollar's look like they have amazing stuff. It makes me me wanna go shopping online.

When I saw the video of this app on this other app I was playing. I saw a lot of amazing items that I can use, my mother don't trust online shopping because it ask for your information. But it depends what you're working with I guess.


Great...just one thing.

I absolutely love Hollar! I've purchased from the shop at least four times, and everything arrives exactly a week later. I usually delete apps I haven't used in a while to save space, so I deleted Hollar. I recently downloaded the app once again, to find that they had a new bulk purchasing feature. I find that the feature is very impractical when you only want to buy one or two of the items. Who needs 24 pikachu backpacks? Just a bit annoying. I will adjust my review when this option becomes available.
