Why does this app need access to my contacts, when if they’re not linked to me?

So I decided to check this app out to see what the deal was for detecting hidden cameras. There was a promo to do a free trial for $2.49 a month for the first 6 months. I canceled the in app purchase within, literally, 2 minutes after purchase because I wanted to sample trial the app, not be a subscriber forever. I am concerned with how quickly my account was even charged after the cancellation. I canceled my subscription via my subscriptions tab under my Apple account and yet I am puzzled that there was a charge pushed through. Beware. Idc that it was less than $3, it’s the fact that money is taken when a subscription was canceled prior. Be careful when trying to do a free trial with this particular app.

Cannot synchronize across platforms. Randomly allows or prevents adding devices. Randomly allows editing of devices. Randomly creates duplicate networks.

Absolutely a privacy threat. Don’t even bother.

This app detected most of the devices on my home network when I ran it on android same app running on iOS latest version you can’t edit any of the items that were detected and most of them show up as generic. Apple should consider removing this app from the App Store since the developers could care less about making it function properly.

I know of two hidden cameras in my home for sure. This thing just told me that none were detected. I was trying to see if there were more than just the two. Failed app. This issue should be fixed. The two hidden cameras are on a private network hooked up to a spare cell phones mobile hotspot.

Fingbox. I require to have root ssh access to Ubuntu operating system, Nonexistent. Two factor authentication, nonexistent. Fingbox cannot operate without cloud. Evaluating the Fingbox and find it is already compromised before the device is plugged in. Gave me the impression with screen/people “who’s at home” that plunders are using these stats for home invasion. Exposing any network to this unsecured device is a grave mistake.
