Nostalgia

Very first game I played from them. One of the best. Not bad for a port. Only thing I say for the next update is to have an update for the new powerful iDevices meaning graphics and speed, full support for the iPhone plus, and enhance interface in the game.

Ridiculously fast animations

JoncLil

As a fan of the original on playstation its incredibly distracting that the animations have to feel like they are in fast forward. At first i thought it was a glitch or something but it isnt. Having the option to move things quicker is ok but as it stands the animations are so fast that the sound effects tied to them arent even close to sychronized. Id love to play more but honestly its just too annoying to play like this

Best game ever!

Gobble dibble

A couple of glitches but nothing unbearable. It is definitely worth the money, so I'm going to finish the game that I never could ?

Garbage

DirtySploof

This games mechanics are the worst ive seen as of yet. Camera angles are extremely limited, causing some squares to be almost impossible to see/move to/attack. Ridiculous.. Button sequences cause your actions to become choppy with zero fluidity, and confirmations make each stage take 4x longer than it should, unless you like to confirm everything you do at least 3-4 times. All in all, this game is the farthest thing from relaxing and worse than most free games. Dont waste your money with this garbage unless you like to stress out on how bad this game is.

Controls=horrible

Jaytee3312

I wanted to enjoy this as I have in the past on console gaming hardware, but the lack of button controls is just terrible. The touch controls aren't intuitive either as you're forced to inaccurately "tap" menu selections over and over again. Unfortunately there's no controller support for i-devices so this issue is par for the course on most App Store games.

Beautiful

Unkle Krab

A masterpiece of fantasy-noir

Great port that needs updates. iCloud broken

Touch controls are surprisingly great! However this game badly needs an update to support large wide screen and high res iPhones. It still has black bars on sides like it designed for iPhone 4. Also iCloud saving does not work on iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 9.3.1

FFT:WotL

I first got this about 8 years ago for my PSP. It was one of 3 games that I had, so while it was definitely difficult to get in to, I was kind of forced to either learn how to play it, or come to the conclusion that I had waisted $45 and could only play 2 of my 3 games. So I stuck with it, and I was so incredibly glad that I did. It wound up becoming my second favorite Tactical RPG, right behind XCOM. The amount of depth is mind-blowing. The sheer number of different ways in which you can build your team to fit a multitude of play styles, and the story is amazing. It's what I was hoping for when I had first heard of FF and got into my first game in the series (it was FF6, and while that one didn't really live up to my hopes and expectations, story-wise, FFT:WotL most certainly did, in fact, it wound up surpassing them). It's one of a handful of SPRG titles that I am willing to just dump endless amounts of time in to. These iOS versions (both the SD and HD versions) were a couple of the first Square Enix titles I wound up purchasing after I got my first iPod Touch (a 2nd gen) and iPad (an iPad 2). I had no issues what-so-ever with double dipping in this instance. While it would be nice, I'm kind of glad that the iPhone version isn't bulked up in size with a bunch of images we can't use, especially now that I have both 8GB and 16GB touch's that I play this on. I did have a little bit of some issues in the beginning with the controls and camera, but they grew on me after a couple days, and now they feel pretty natural. The option to turn off battle prompts is in the in-game options menu (when it's your turn in the first battle, hit cancel, select 'menu' and go to 'options' - it's in there - NOT in the main menu options). Other than that... THANK YOU SQUARE, FOR PORTING THIS CLASSIC GAME TO THE IOS PLATFORM!!!! It's simply AMAZING that I can have FFT:WotL on my PHONE! And at half the price I paid for it originally... great stuff!

Love it

Dogmai.sykes

This is my all time favorite final fantasy game but I wish is would be updated to be more like the psp version where you could play against other players & go on missions with them either that or add new characters every so often through an challenge mode or for a small fee like squall leonhart or Leon from kingdom hearts

Incredible!

This game is easily just as good as it was for the PlayStation! I love the fact that I can just pick up and play anywhere I go with it. One thing I would like to see done is to get the screen size updated for IPhone 6's.
