Total waste of money

I liked this game at first, although it isn’t always intuitive and the graphics in the hidden objects part make it hard to find things. But what really ticked me off is that I got to a level and cannot go any farther. I resorted to using hints, but the hint tells me to click on a little area in a yellow triangle and when I do that nothing happens. I have tried reloading, turning my iPad on and off, etc. And nothing helps. I just can’t get any farther. Please refund my seven bucks.

6/20/18 Playing this a second time in 2018 and the game is even better. All glitchy issues I had with it initially are gone. This is at present a very smooth, stunning game. Well done! ********** Whoa. A stunning mid-2016 game. It's a delight to encounter the new generation HOPs when they are like this one. At this writing, 5 excellent reviews stand before me, and I can't add one note to theirs other than to share my agreement, but mention one perturbing issue--an odd full screen error message pops up whenever I activate the hint button. It ends with stating "Don't panic." I plan to see if this can be corrected by rebooting my iPad 2. Hopefully, it's not a glitch that will affect others, but it's rather annoying to me. I'll edit my review if the error message disappears.

Fade to Black - too bright to fade away

Like the rest of the Final Cut series (each plays as a stand alone) this one from Eipix is full of crisp colorful gorgeous artwork done in the Art Deco style. Cars and clothes are reminiscent of times gone by. Can you uncover a plot by one studio to take over another? Look for symbol in each scene and keep your eyes open for candy canes and Christmas stockings for a bonus. No custom difficulty and no diary but no real need of it as the story is well explained. No vermin yet. Verdict:buy and enjoy

This series, Final Cut, is wonderful for its portrayal of the old movie studio system. Luckily, you do not need to have played any of the others in the series to enjoy this one. You're looking for the necklaces that change your appearance to the face of anyone you photograph. You have a clue board on which to arrange your notes and photos. Each scene has a collectible cameo of a drama mask. Also, there are collectible candy canes and Christmas stockings! Art work is crisp and clear, even in darker scenes. Playing level is customizable. The voiceover in one scene even sounds like Peter Lorre! Nice touch! Snap up this clever game!

It's No "Black"out With Final Cut!

I love this series for its intriguing murder, mystery and mayhem. It's a refreshing change of setting as the premise takes place in a modern-like city within an urban environment during the 1950s or so. Unfortunately, the graphics are visually unappealing as they are muddy looking or washed out, especially in the close-ups and HOS. The colors are either bright and vibrant or dark and gritty depending on the scene. As usual with this developer, you cannot customize your settings; apparently, they just don't get it. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map indicates available actions only in the first mode; thereafter, it's non-beneficial. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick. The HOS are interactive, multilayered, and consist of various types. The puzzles are varied and relative to the storyline; I love the one with the pinball machine. You have collectibles; they can blend in well into the background. Overall, it is a good game; no glitches and nice variety. However, because of lousy graphics, no customized settings, and limited reading materials, I deducted a star. Still worth my time.

Great graphics, difficult minigames

If you like challenging minigames you will like this game; personally i found them frustrating and skipped most of them. Lots to do in this game though and interesting objects and scenes to interact with.

Once again, another great game from our friends at EIPIX! I see you've been taking our reviews seriously. I see some changes. First of all the last two games were lengthier, and of course had bonus adventures. You cannot customize settings, but there are 3 difficulty levels. At each location you collect a hidden mask. You can also collect candy canes and Christmas stockings to gain extra HO scenes and puzzles. Morphing objects once again are confined to the HO scenes, which had variation, or you could play match-3. The graphics were gorgeous; they were a combination of 1950's nostalgia and 1920's Art Deco. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was an IN-GAME teleport map to transport you there, with objectives and tasks if so chosen. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. As usual, inventory usage was interesting! There was no journal, but objectives were regularly updated. EIPIX, we need journals/ diaries! Some of us are older players who have a bit of trouble following the storyline, especially when a lot of characters are involved! I really enjoyed the projector necklace; we love new gimmicks to use. I am very happy that you are introducing new and improved and exciting puzzles/ mini-games. Some of us really hate only boring rotational junk! There was a non-spoiler hint system. The game played smoothly, and I didn't encounter any glitches or crashes. I love this series and this game was really amazing to play. And no rats is always a plus! Two suggestions for you: improve the language, and start giving us a journal so we can keep track of the story a bit better. Other than that, fabulous game, and definitely want a gorgeous sequel! I send ❤️?? to the DTE, especially Dracyy, Sunshine Susie and KimTwilight for their superior review skills! Keep it up and the games can only improve! We need to hold the developers to the highest of standards; subpar won't cut it anymore! Also: note to Dracyy. Can you please finish a game before reviewing it? That way if there is a fatal flaw you don't prematurely give it 5 stars. Also, "no vermin so far" still doesn't make me feel better! They could be on their way! Please play through and then review. Thanks a million! You know I love and appreciate you! Gamers, this is a must-play game! I didn't want it to end!

Made a comeback!

Excellent comeback. The previous game in series had glitches which made the game unplayable. I was able to eventually play all the way through without crashing. This game was glitchless. I was impressed by plot and the characters. Great series overall.. Def a game to play!!

Mind numbing

I appear to be the only dissenter but this game was just duller than dull. I couldn't even finish it. I would rather play a favorite old game twice than continue with this one.
