Pretty good

This app is ok, but it doesn’t let you choose any new races or classes. It also doesn’t allow home brew material. It would great if you add your own things to it, but of course you can’t.

Great app!!

Awesome for D&D. Let’s you do everything you need to and very flexible

Saved My Home Game

DM Cody

I use this app for all my players and it makes everything run so smoothly. I don’t have to rummage through things for rules on characters and such. The only thing I wish for this app is automatic conversions for coin!

What just happened?!

ghoulishgraves

I’ve been using this app for a couple years and then ssuddenly BAM, it decides to erase all my characters that I am currently playing and everything that I’ve had so much playing. Like what the crap!!! I’m so furious. Years of work down the drain.

New Multiclassing Rule

UserA113

I like this app. It’s very pleasant to the eye and does everything you need. I’m hoping Leo Mortero sees this or somehow he is made aware that the new multiclassing update is *almost* right. According to the PHB, the Multiclassing Spellcasting table gives you spell slots for every 1 level of full caster, 2 levels of half caster, and 3 levels of 1/3 caster (eldritch knight, arcane trickster). It also says warlock spell slots, being Pact Magic, do not contribute to Spellcaster Level, but that Spellcaster spells can use Pact Magic slots and Pact Magic spells can use Spellcaster slots. I (and I’m sure other warlock multiclassers) would appreciate this being fixed, as my sorcerer 2/ warlock 1 should have 3 1st level slots and 1 1st level Pact Magic. It’s is confusing because the app is telling me I have 4 1sts and 2 2nds, which I should not have. Great app, but missing this fine detail.

Best D&D app out there

Zergpool

You can find everything you need, or you can add it. Go to the compendium at the home page and you can add items, classes, spells, etc. you can also find XML files online to add more features if you are willing to sit down and figure it out. Customization has never been so easy and so cheap.

Multiclass Spell Slots Done Right

GamerGuy193

Multi class spell slots have been an issue for a while, and the recent attempt to combine spell slots per the PHB still had issues, but a second update only days later seems to have resolved the issues. Actually, a combined ‘caster pool’ was only part of the solution. The ability to manually control that pool as well as override and create per-class short-reset pools is awesome. I’m not sure about the auto-tracking with leveling yet, but FC5 now has the right configurability for habitual multiclassers. Great update!

Issues leveling characters

Zachd232342

I love this app, use it and game master all the time in my current sessions. However, with the last couple updates I have progressively lost the ability to level up my characters. I will go into the XP and edit it and it still keeps track of it however when that time comes to level up the character, it brings up the new features page and allows me to roll my new health, but once I hit save it doesn’t change my level or my total health. This wasn’t major at first because I could just go into the edit character and do it that way as well. But now, since they added a health roller in the character editor too, I go to hit save and it does the same thing. No level up or health change. I REALLY love this app and I’m unsure if I’m just doing something wrong or if this is a common problem please help.

Amazing, but a small suggestion

I have been using this for my NPCs for a while now. And once you go through the trouble of importing everything, it’s awesome. I even managed to tinker with it a little bit to allow myself to play beyond level 20, courtesy of a DMs Guild supplement I own. I did have a few problems with it, but that’s mostly because D&D doesn’t officially support play beyond 20th level. So any problems I have I can’t fault the app for. I would like to point out now, that almost all of the suggestions I gave before have been added. There is now a way to edit when your spell slots recharge, and you can add counters to the class itself. It essentially functions the same as adding a counter to the main page, at least on old characters made before the update, but it can be nice to know where certain abilities go when scrolling through your class page. However, for new characters, all classes now come with pre-loaded counters so you don’t have to input them. Barbarians have rage, monks have ki, etc. My above suggestion of adding extra damage die to weapons still stands. However, as I said before, it’s easy enough to add an attack to the main page. If I had anymore suggestions, they’d be minuscule. A few different options for rest resets. Stuff like Divine Intervention falls into this category. It has a chance of working, and if it does it recharges in a week. If it doesn’t, it’s a long rest. I’m not sure as to how easy this following suggestion would be to make work. However, here’s my suggestion. • For abilities that have a longer charging time, like a blessing one of my characters has from their god, which recharges in a week once used. There can just be an option to set a recharge time as a week. And once a certain amount of long rests have been taken, it resets. Or something like that. • There could also be an option for the gray areas like Divine Intervention. A recharge option for that specifically. And when it’s used, you can either make a mark for a success or fail. On a fail, it recharges on a long rest. On a success it recharges in a week. Once again, I’m not sure as to how hard this would be to make work. And this suggestion doesn’t have to be taken into consideration. This app is in a good place as is. I’d give it a 4.8 if I could. There’s just a few little things that could be made slightly better. However, all have a workaround for the time being.
