The app doesn’t work... this is my 3rd time paying for it, the espn app doesn’t let you stream some races on demand, so i keep hoping this app has gotten better, but unfortunately it has not. Half the time it just stays in a load screen, and if you get it to actually stream the video and audio aren’t synced up. It doesn’t show any of the post race/qualifying content from Skysports. It’s quite a disappointment that one of the wealthiest sports organizations in the world can’t build an app that provides the best coverage of their sport... I guess I’ll stick to the ESPN app and watch races when they replay them.

Sometimes you have to pause and do something. Why can’t we fast forward or rewind the video? Hold our place to continue watching the great footage?

Everyone needs to stop complaining. For the money, this is the best app to provide live content and replays. Not to mention all of the archive footage. Haters gotta stop hating and enjoy what this app has to offer. It’s not perfect, but pretty darn good. A real chord cutter would be great full for an app like this, especially at the price point. Cable TV is a dinosaur, happy to see F1 broadcasting their own content. Formula 1 is a sport that favors continual improvement, this is a new app, give them time to improve. It will get better.

This really really needs to be an Apple TV app already! If it can’t be because of contracts with broadcasters please disclose this info. Maybe F1 can make some summer break improvements like all the other teams in F1 are expected to do. Here’s to hoping. So many other reviews have touched on what is wrong with this app. I am just here to agree with them. I feel like I am paying way too much to watch the sport I love be served so poorly by an app lacking very basic controls functionality and organization. Honestly the YouTube free content is so much better to watch on anything over this app. Please fix it or I will just leave with my money.

The app doesn’t load content, or says I don’t have a subscription and have to restart it. Or sometimes it says I’m in an unsupported region when I’m in the U.S. This happens mostly when I have to sign back in. And have to restart it to fix it. The content is good and the quality of the streams is very nice when it works. I have fast Internet and no video streaming services cause me issues except F1TV. Sometimes it works, but sometimes is so slow video pauses every few minutes or stops working altogether. If they can continue to offer a discounted price for next season I will subscribe again, but I wouldn’t pay full price. Maybe an early bird pricing for current subscribers. I would like video to remember where I was if I have to stop it or the app crashes. Also there should be a way to start a live stream from the beginning and not be live. Or, if I’m live and using multiple devices to sync my location across them. Is hard to watch the stream and timings on another device if they’re a few seconds off. Last you need to add Chromecast support ASAP. I have to use my laptop to stream to my tv.
[Request] Please fix screen rotation on SmartTv

Please fix the screen rotation transferring from the iphone app to smartTV via hdmi connection. When i connect to races the app will play and rotate to landscape (on the tv), no problem. However, when you play tech talk or peripheral vids from each race weekend. When I rotate my phone to the shared display it goes into landscape but does not orient properly to landscape on the smarTtv. Instead you get a landscape mode not correct to horizontal. Please fix.
All it needs is AppleTV version

Only subscribed yesterday but looks great. Archive seems limited so far. Stutters when AirPlay to my AppleTV but great on the iPad. Needs an AppleTV version. No stutter when AirPlay from my iMac. I’d give another half star. Holding fifth star for AppleTV version.
F1-TV Needs Leadership

Step one - Dump Chase Carey and get a real leader to head up F1. If you’ve ever seen this hack give a company town hall you would walk away wondering how did he end up in leadership at this level. Your head starts to hurt after hearing “uh” over 50 times. Step two - Hire some tech staff, plus Sr. and executive Mgmt. with experience delivering world class digital media through a streaming medium. The continued poor performance of the app is simply an embarrassment to the sport. It doesn’t do justice to the brilliant minds of the engineers and brave/skilled drivers that have lead the way in automotive technology and evolution for over 50 years. At least the app worked when it launched. Second year and it gets worse every race weekend. The season is getting more exciting and we’re missing the chance to see it. Work harder and deliver, deliver, deliver!!!! Enough is enough.
A truly awful experience - even with a premium subscription

Terrible. If it could run reliably for two weeks, it would be a miracle. Hangs up. Forgets your subscription. Spins endlessly. Needs repeated removal and reinstallation. Hard to imagine a more inept streaming app.
