This is what a museum app should be like.

A great, interactive app!!

Argan0n

I am very pleasantly surprised with this app. It is informative about the museum and caters to your specific interests. Unlike most of the apps I've seen for other museums, the app is aesthetically pleasing and doesn't look out of date. You have a strong 5 stars from me!

Best iPhone 7 location services app!

Very_Annoyed

This is hands down the most sensitive and effective location based museum app I've used. Works amazingly well on an iPhone 7. Down to the foot. Find exhibits, bathrooms and exits. Link your tickets so they display electronically etc. Get it!

Unable to purchase tickets, yet was charged the card

Skeeve

I've tried to purchase tickets trough the app, the app said error, please try again. After trying it for second time I've gave up, however my card was charged for both purchases

Payments not working

Duster_six

Filled in all the information and the confirm payment button does nothing. Not really helpful if you want to get tickets ahead of time to skip the line. Seems like a major mods for the app.

Explorer The American Museum of Natural History

This application is unique and it works different from other museum apps I have used. Starting off the app asks you to select interests, exhibits and areas in the museum you would like. After that the app customizes your selection into a feed you can use to navigate. Similar to News applications you can scroll up and down the feed and select content that you would most likely enjoy. The content will most likely be a exhibit that would interest you such as Outer Space, or the T-Rex or big creatures. The content presented is light on information but it works better as a bite size multimedia experience which in essence what many museum exhibits are. You get a brief description of the subject, facts about the subject, images of the subject, video clip presenting something related to the subject and maybe a multiple choice question related to the subject. Content can also be shared with others and saved as a favorite. The museum content feed can also be used to get information on other areas such as the gift shop, bathrooms and dining areas. The app works well as a source of learning from home as well as a guide when inside the museum. When inside the historic museum the app can be used as a guide working off the many beacons installed so you can find a specific location or pinpoint where you are. The app can also be used to purchase tickets making your experience that much easier. From interactive content to sharp visuals, easy menu design and resources included that will help manage your visit the Explorer American Museum of Natural History is well worth a download for current and potential visitors.

Disappointed

The newer version is not helpful. I couldn't not use it to locate where I was or where things were in order to navigate the museum. The paper map was better.

Saved me from fear

Cool peaplo

I got this app so I could at all costs STAY AWAY FROM THE BLUE WHALE MODEL. Whales scare me so badly, and I needed to know how I could stay as far away as possible from it. But my family wanted to see it, so I walked with them up to where the exhibit starts, so I could not see it. This app helped me know how close I was getting to it, since it tracked my steps real time. It was spot on accurate to my location in the museum. I'm rating it five stars since it saved me from having a heart attack in public. Also the other stuff in the app works great.

Best museum app

I’ve downloaded my share of museum apps since I frequent many museums. This is by far the best museum app I’ve downloaded. The best feature is indoor maps. Enable WiFi (you may need to connect to their WiFi) and Bluetooth and the app will show you your location within the museum. It will also guide you turn by turn to get to a specific exhibit/area to a museum. This is especially useful since the museum is cavernous and it’s easy to get lost. The tidbits of information about exhibits is neat too! Love this app!
