Tried it today, it never even opened/loaded. Just gave me a message that I was offline and stayed stuck on an opening graphic. I tried on data network and the museum's wifi

If I could give zero stars... My wife and I both got errors that we weren't connected to the Internet, then the infinite spinning wheel. We were, and obviously still are, since I downloaded it 5 minutes ago. And deleted it 4 minutes ago. Their website is still pushing a non-functional app. What a shame, since I plan to visit the museum this week.

I took my family to the museum and used this app to get around. It works both as a preview of the exhibits as well as to give you more info while you're there. The navigation and the experience is excellent and very easy to use. Love it.

I used this when I went to the museum. Very good and accurate about your location, but there were a few turns that sent us on the wrong direction, meaning we sort of went in a circle, but we did finally make it.

The AMNH Explorer app is a joke. The location service within the museum does not work correctly. In addition, the information that the app has regarding the key exhibits in the museum is so basic & limited (1 or 2 small paragraphs) that you are left wondering why they even bother to promote the app. If looks & feels like the museum just wanted to say they have an app. It provides little to no educational value!!??

Map and directions worked perfectly for us. Liked the extra info and general overview of exhibits. Helped us choose where to go. It would be nice if we could see planetarium and other showtimes in it.

The app is useful, but back it up with a physical map of the museum, if you're taking kids and trying to avoid emptying your wallet at every gift shop. The app gives you directions to the exhibits.... But in structured steps so you can't see your whole route, and only later realize you went the longest most foolish way possible, structured to make you pass through every gift shop in the museum unnecessarily. Also, app relies on Bluetooth.... Which doesn't work at all, in the exhibits you have no service in, like the ocean hall.
