A must have service

ychikal

Experian has been nothing but cooperative and transparent in our dealings. The information they’ve provided has been so helpful in building credit after living overseas for years and posed a solution to watching our accounts while out of the USA. Now that we’re back we have literally a daily way of checking on our new accounts and scores. When I switched from the monthly to a free account I was pleasantly surprised at how much information was still free via the app and how we still received emails about alerts. I was also able to see any errors on our credit and remedy those using the free dispute service. I’d highly recommend this service to you all.

Stay away

Signed me up for a 22 dollar/month subscription without my knowledge, didn't realize this until I was billed for it the first month. Don't bother with this app.

Misleading application

923Daytona

I was under the impression that this application would provide monthly updates for my credit report. I haven’t received an update in months... I feel like I was cheated out of my money when applications like credit karma will give me the same information, more details, and updates for free!

Fluff

busyguy14

A lot of bells and whistle but no substance. You tell me I have two negative marks on my credit but there’s no way to see the info. I can log into transunion mobile site and SE who I owe or who’s not telling the truth. Wasted my time.

Why pay to have a credit lock??

Naser G

Equifax and Transunion don’t make you pay to lock and unlock for credit lock.

Harassment

CCDOrchid

Accounts hacked and dealing with harassment from Experian “dark web monitoring” when they are unethically hacking consumers to bait and switch. Received 27 emails to try and get me to resign up for their memberships. Refused to release data, had to close my bank accounts to get them out of my information. Psychos! Took advantage of Equifax data breach.

Extremely Helpful

EXPERIAN is very good with monitoring your credit and identity AND after you set up your desired alerts. But once you stop the membership, your credit report that you locked is unlocked.

Feel More Secure

rodmart1704

I enjoy being able to use the credit lock feature. I feel more secure and in control of my identity and financial information. The app also shows your current credit score and the reasons how scoring was obtained. Suggestions are then given on how to help you credit scoy

DONT DO IT TOTAL SCAM

Paradigm8472

So I tried to get my “free” credit report, only to be told that I would have to pay $1 and sign up for an “easy to cancel” trial period to see my score, which in turn signs you up for an automatically recurring monthly fee. So, I’m waiting for a confirmation email that I’m sure will have a link to cancel my free trial. NOPE, no email. I go back into the app and nowhere in it is there a place to cancel- you must call their customer service line. After being told it would be a 45 minute wait, I was on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF when it DISCONNECTED ME. I don’t have all day to sit on the phone so now I’m going to get charged for this service I don’t want on my credit card, which I will be disputing with my card company. It is unbelievable that a company billing themselves as helping your credit is running a scam like this. I will be sharing this story on every social media platform and telling everyone I know DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
