It’s okay

I’ve been using the journal and app for about a month. (Maybe I should preface this with the fact I’m not someone interested in journaling, but really more interested in productivity/planning) this journal didn’t have much different layout than other similar journals (like panda planner) and the app concept interested me, but in practice really feels more of a gimmick to get you to use the planner - I didn’t really gain any insight besides that I used it for x number of days. (Some stuff that could be changed too is letting you modify your week start/end - for me personally, Monday is the most logical day 1 of my week, but I can’t change it which really throws me off in planning) I find that I’m really just copying the to-dos from my Microsoft To-Do list to he journal. Maybe I’d like a different brain-type journal, I don’t know. The quality of the actual journal is nice though.

Great but...

Love the app but I currently can’t change the date of my scan. I generally forget to scan until the next morning. The problem is that the app crashes anytime I try to change the date of a scan.

Nice concept. Horrible execution.

The concept is awesome. Finished two full months of journaling. However, the app and its insights is what makes this ‘concept’ special. AND it’s still just that! A concept. The app just doesn’t work! When scanning doesn’t crash the app, it’s difficult and sometimes impossible to change the scan dates. Accuracy is key in analytics. EVO lost the key before they even launched this unfinished product.

Application Scanning Buggy

Jennonbike

Today, the application crashes if you try to change the date for a daily scan. It crashes when you scan a week.

Weekly scan problem

The app will scan my daily logs but not my weekly logs. It crashes when I try. Even why I try to enter manually it crashes.

Sorta good

I am trying. Though there are many questions I have, and there is no one at home to answer or two take up these questions. They have a good idea but they lack the follow up to provide a coherent system that is understandable and user-friendly. They lack support. I have emailed numerous times and I had to work hard to find address to email too. No answers.

You pay for their mistakes

FunFaxz

Their content isn’t clear in regards to how to follow the journal. The website offers guidance information that doesn’t align to the design of the book or the app. They don’t explain how and what each aspect of the journal is for... good luck trying to look it up because whatever you do find mentions information to pieces of the app that don’t exist anymore or that they have changed. Nothing is consistent, which undermines their credibility, to be quite honest. They don’t return emails on the website or that I’ve sent directly to the company. Forget about the subscription. The scanning doesn’t work, there are no instructions on how to appropriately do it. This app is just not ready for publication.

Unique

I am on day 6 and so far it is the longest I have EVER stuck to journaling. I really think the customized journal is helpful and focuses on what I need. I do NOT like the app but I think that, with work it could have potential. I have some suggestions: I am an architect and one thing I need to do is reflect and reconsider. There is a small space for reflection but it is not big enough and doesn’t let me apply what I have learned. I have to resort to preplanning my day for tomorrow which is alright but not ideal. I would like enough space to write about why I didn’t check everything off and what I can do to remedy it. So many of my “to dos “ are getting lost and forgotten as I move on to the next day. I don’t want a running to do. I just want to be able to reflect on the ones I didn’t do. I also would like a way to give myself credit for things I did that were not in the plan. I’m kinda doing that too but it would be nice if that were part of my brain type journal because I think that all architects need that — a way to reward ourselves for the things we do even if they were not on the original plan. We need the validation that our work is worthwhile even if it isn’t part of the plan. Overall it is a great idea and I am learning a lot about myself And I LOVE the quotes and encouragement each day!

Glitchy

technobunnylovesit

The app is soooooo glitchy. Practically useless. I can’t believe I spent so much money on the planner only to find out this app is garbage. Sad.
