My Favorite App

LaurenRenaeCun

I love this app. It gives me all the books I wanted to read and some I happened upon because of using this app. It contains all genres! I've been able to read biographies that I wanted to read, along with Bible study books I wanted to read but didn't have the time to buy because they're all online and I hate waiting for shipping. I've recommended this app at least everyday to my friends and family. I've also talked about it on my blog.

Less content, same price

Pcogliat

You can't just change the value proposition to your customers and charge the same. There were also no options given. Pay more, pay less for various content limitations. Overall, just not worth $8/mo for books you can buy on your kindle for 0.99 cents.

NOPE!

Rsattes

Found a book I have been itching to read online. Scribd said it was available through a "free" trail. Signed up and low and behold that book is "unavailable." Trial ended in 5 mins. Thanks but NO thanks.

Great app

Game master 447

I love the app. It has so many great selections for sheet music. The only downside is only getting 3 books a month. I will definitely be subscribing after my free trial is over.

Not as good as before

AncientMysteries

Since the new rules for only 3 books a month and a limited selection of unlimited books per month. It's like only 8 to choose from in each category. Of course they pick the 8 for you a month. After taking time to really see what has taken place here I am very disappointed. It is really not worth it and I will probably cancel.... Really I feel they are going to end up cutting their own throat on this one. I think if you had more than 3 books a month maybe 6 it would be doable for me. Still hate to see it not much left but Kindle unlimited so it's better than nothing at all...ugh

Beware!!!

Mark Dumn

Charged me for 5 months of service after I stopped my trial. I had to get PayPal involved to resolve ludicrous charges. They charged me twice a month. Emails to support were not answered. There is no way to call them. Stay away.

Yay!

Danned35

Finally! I'm thrilled to finally see the full-page themes and better tracking of where you leave off when you close the app or if something else interrupts it and re-opens a book to the beginning. I almost unsubscribed over it. I'm still not sure if I'll continue, as I'm not keeping up with the 3 books a month, but I got a lot of use out of being able to peruse a book before the structure change. I agree with another reviewer who said they should have offered a tiered service. Considering Amazon's program since I'm already in their ecosystem.

Not enough

Runway2009

As an avid reader, I read at least 2-3 books a day. If I'm paying a monthly fee, I should be able to read an unlimited amount of books and not just 3. Amazon is the same fee and I'm able to read an unlimited amount of books. But I like Scribd because there is a much wider selection

Freezes!

Mupkat

Since my update and new os was installed it keeps freezing. I read a page or two and then it freezes! What good is a book if you have to keep restarting to read a page or two!

Too slow

disenamour

The latest version is so slow it's unusable. Wish I could roll back to the previous version. I may have to cancel my account for awhile if they don't fix it soon.
