Love this app! I have used it non stop since a friend turned me on to the Scribd service. The monthly selection is very good, plus I get to chose from any book to download every month. Love the convenience of downloading to save on data use. Highly recommend.

Scribd is awesome, this is the first app I have ever paid for on a month to month basis. I've read 3 books on it so far and have encountered no issues. It's great for reading on the go, I love that you can highlight things in the book and save notes. Great app to download, better than the kindle app. ?☺️?❤️
Please bring back unlimited books

The new policy of only offering 9 books per month is awful. I gave it a chance but I'm completely dissatisfied with the limitations you've imposed. This is not the service I signed up for and I don't like the pressure the book limits put on me to read 9 books I may not be into after the first few chapters. Books have a sticking point and the previews do nothing to ensure that I'll want to continue reading. Please institute a grandfather clause for all the customers you robbed of unlimited books.

I have to amend my review somewhat, as Scribd has changed their policies. Authors like Pratchett and Gaiman are no longer part of the free-for-all. But you can still find many unlimited reads in the genre you enjoy, so I've kept my subscription. (Previous review) I read several novels a week, but as a college instructor don't make enough to support my reading habit. Novels for my Kindle are $5.99-7.99 each. Scribd has an amazing selection of authors (for fun I read mostly sci-fi, fantasy & literary fiction) and I find books by authors I already love and better yet, have been trying out many new authors. I still can't believe it's only $8.99 a month! Yes, there are authors I want and can't find yet, but I don't expect Scribd to be Amazon. I find great 2-4 novels a week to read, something I couldn't afford through Amazon. Scribd has authors like Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Martin Millar, Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher and many more. The only problem with Scribd is that I read TOO much using it--procrastination is all too easy when I can find a great new book every other day. I haven't had any of the app problems mentioned in other reviews--perhaps the glitch was fixed.

I recently joined scribed right when the book limit was beginning.. And it doesn't bother me at all.. It's a incredible value... I am a commuter and audio books are what keeps me sane while I'm driving 2 1/2 hours a day...if I was getting my Audio books from audible they are 15 bucks a piece.. And pretty close to the same from Amazon...I did trials from Amazon unlimited and scribed side by side and scribed won because of selection.. They have the Christian books I enjoy and would normally buy.. It's perfect for me.. I totally get the disappointment with the recent limits.. And I see why they did it... With other books streaming services closing down.. They are trying to make this work...I hope that they do.. Cause this is something I use every day and love!

Deleting highlights

I switch between my iPad and phone for reading. I have the monthly subscription as well, but when I switch between devices the app keeps my page from the last iOS but deletes the highlights on the device I'm using it on. This usually happens when I've been highlighting on airplane mode and reconnect to Internet.
Good alternative to Overdrive.
