For straight stats does the job. For some reason every 3rd or 4th time you open the app it hides your favorite selected sports and teams and you have to manually search for them. Really annoying especially during playoffs. I don’t even try to watch the commentator clips like Steven A(I do enjoy his content) because you get 30 second ad before and 15 second after just to watch 1 min clip. On top of that you get locked out during the ads where you have to wait for the ads to finish or close the app and reopen it. Worst of all the Disney bundle doesn’t get rid of ads what the f am I paying for?

Love the content and value of ESPN + but the bugs and issues are PAINFULLY annoying. On their Xbox app you can’t fast forward past 4x speed, if you go past that or even move the highlighted button to ff or rw you have to go back and do it again because the cursor won’t go back to play. It crashes constantly and is the MOST annoying application I’ve ever had to deal with. Hope for some fixes here soon because I’m seeing posts about this from 4 years ago that still haven’t been fixed.

If you love Ads, this is the App for you

Can’t watch a 15 sec highlight clip without watching a 15-30 second Ad first. It’s excruciating! If you want to watch the highlight again, guess what, have to watch an ad first! And not a different Ad, the exact same one. ESPN used to be the best of the best. It’s become a pathetic joke of a company.

ESPN has lost all journalistic integrity. They constantly post hateful and bullying materials on their site and funnel it to the users they know it would upset the most. All their content is posted based on shock value and clicks. Look elsewhere if you are looking for legitimate sports news, reporting, and programming.

They can do (operate) with approximate location alone but they dont. The app won’t let you stream unless you grant it PRECISE location! WHY??? Why do they want to know exact address when the area/zip is enough???

Poor implementation of ads

Love the content but the way the developers have forced ads makes for an unpleasant experience. Play/pause controls are disabled. Not classy at all. Therefore it’s an ad app first and not a sports app.

Good app, needs a widget

always been a useful app, pretty organized so I can see all the scores I want to see easily. I like the play by play features for when I’m out and can’t watch a game live. only thing I’d suggest is adding a widget. I want to be able to see a couple of my top scores on my home screen instead of always having to open the app and scroll through a full page of current/recent games. there might be a couple third party ones but this seems like a simple addition.

Impossible to configure Home Screen to what is interesting. Just pushes what ESPN wants you to see.
