Endless Fables: Love the Greek Myths!
Izzyoc

3.5 stars bumped up to 4 stars Sunward Game originally released through Artifex Mundi but the iOS version released via Big Fish games. Really short demo but it was a buy for me. Interesting take on the story of the Minotaur (although secretly I feel a little sorry for him), and of Ariadne. Game play is smooth, customizable mode of play, collectible bugs (butterflies, dragonflies etc.) and morphing water lilies, but not in every scene. The HOGs are not the usual run-of-the-mill find the items on the list; they are far more interactive and interesting. I found the games a bit frustrating in terms of clarity of direction and must admit that I skipped a few. One cute mouse near the beginning of the game, and a dive-bombing crow to watch for! Lynxie - do you have an iPad Air 1st gen, or iPad Air 2? Not meaning to harp on this, but I do really want to figure out why some people have problems with games, while others don't. There's a pretty big difference in performance between 1st and 2nd gen iPad Airs - the Air 2 processor is supposed to be 40% faster and almost twice as fast graphics processing than the 1st Air. The Air 2 also has 2G of RAM while the Air has 1G of RAM so this would definitely make apps run better on the 2. But if you have the iPad Air 2, I'm all out of ideas! :) Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames.com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform - usually PC or Mac) Enigmatis: Shadow of Karkhala (4.2 stars, Artifex Mundi, Jul. '16) Mystery Tales: Eye of Fire (3.4 stars, Domini Games, Sept. '16)

Minotaur's Curse - this fable is fabulous!

Absolutely lovely to play! This story expands on the tale of the Minotaur and the labyrinth in a unique way. Artwork is gorgeous, characters fleshed out, story is rich in detail and depth. One cute mouse give him cheese he's gone. You get to interact and get the story behind a lot of figures in Greek mythology. Gameplay is smooth, hop and mini games well drawn. Great for all ages! Verdict: buy! And more endless fables please!

This is "Bull"! More Like "Endless" Trouble!

The plot is centered around Greek mythology as you set off to unravel the mystery of the mighty Minotaur, which existed some millennia ago. Is this powerful beast still alive, waiting to be reborn? You will meet some legendary creatures of folklore, such as mermaids with a physical structure comprising the head and upper body of a human female and the tail of a fish. The graphics appear grainy or speckled, and they need to be sharpened up to improve the quality of details. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. You can customize your settings. In custom mode, the teleport map enables brisk travel to labeled locations and indicates available tasks; furthermore, non-map transition between scenes is fluid as well. The notebook is strictly limited to docketing your updated objectives; story progression is not recorded. The HOS and puzzles are abounding, and they are equally balanced in presentation. The HOS are interactive and consist of a medley of assorted fashions; some have the "daisy chain" effect whereas one item is immediately used to obtain the next, and so on. They are a little challenging at times, so you will need to think about the next step rather than just locating items. The puzzles are varied and include the storybook type in which a narrator conveys the backstory while you complete a puzzle. You have two collection items, which are well camouflaged. To wrap it up, this game is not shy of irksome setbacks. I experienced a glitch on the first puzzle; the screen froze several times while placing the sun symbol on the ring. Once I changed the order by placing the sun last, the problem was rectified; and I was able to continue. In addition, I loathe the old-school programming where you have to repeatedly apply an action to the same area in order to effectuate a single result; for example, using a crowbar four consecutive times to remove four individual nails. Moreover, the inventory sensitivity needs a calibration adjustment; it is tedious to acquire items, and I need to tap multiple times to receive a response to my touch input. Finally, the outdated impression of the game and the frustrating technical flaws steadily diminished my overall satisfaction. I feel disconnected from the storyline since it fails to engage me enough to maintain my interest. I really cannot suggest it--3 stars for me. Play "Queen's Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past" by Artifex Mundi for only $2.99. Awesome game!

Good Game

Well thought out & different storyline. Loved the interactive & thought provoking aspects so this game. Would have like a journal on the story, not just objectives. Overall, graphics, character voiceovers, morphing & collectibles well done. Some of the mini games were on the vague & difficult side without a reset option. Regardless, enjoyed & recommend purchasing this game. Lot's of eye candy. ? ? Thanks to Big Fish & the developers - Please start releasing more than 2 games a week. KdBoots

Great game!

I really enjoyed this game and the bonus game. Puzzles and hops evenly spaced. Collectibles. Great graphics and smooth game play.

Silly game, glitches
crazy grandma65

There are some very professional games out there, this is not one of them. On puzzles found where it froze, either too easy, or too difficult. Animation ok, voices annoying.

Not To Sure...

I didn't finish demo. The graphics are very muddy. I felt as if I was looking through an unfocused lens. I found myself squinting to much, as if that would help. I think I'll skip this one. Trying Queens Quest 2.

Enjoyable Game

Had fun playing this game. Recommend.

BF..Stop begging for ratings during the game❗
Casual mode

I'm tempted to remove a star for each time the Big Fish ratings pop-up appears..but there aren't enough stars up there, and it would unfairly ding Sunward Games. The game plays well..except for one minor glitch with the 'sun/planets' puzzle, as someone else mentioned. (No need to restart the game..just back out and start the puzzle again.). Otherwise I enjoyed this one..as I do anything based on Greek mythology.

I totally enjoy this game! Especially the Mini-Games! They are very Challenging! Even the puzzles took me more than a few minutes. The storyline and graphics are OUTSTANDING. Keep up the good work!!!
