My internet connection is strong, yet the app is unable to download a checklist (pop up alert suggests i am not connected). I can log on to their website via a web browser on the same device. So, the app is useless for collecting my data for the annual GBBC. Disappointing

I have been a user of the eBird website and decided to try the app. However, I do not like how you need to turn on geolocation and give the app access to your position in order to submit a list. Please allow users to use a saved personal location without requiring them to turn on their device's geolocation services first. This would help protect users' privacy. From now on I will stick to the website for submitting lists and only use the app for reference or for viewing my already submitted lists.

I can’t past the process of setting up my account & then logging in to the app, so it’s useless to me. Why does a bird identification app need this layer of nonsense?

Can’t input new password. I get a passwords don’t match message, when I know they do. Happens even when keychain enters them automatically.

I have an eBird account but the app will not recognize my log in credentials no matter what I do. Extremely frustrating. No user support from Cornell Ornithology Lab. Very disappointing.

A great app for entering checklists on your birding trips. It creates a list of expected species for the location which makes it much easier to isolate what you are seeing. It shows statistical info comparing your listing to previous years by county, state and country which is a fun feature. I see concerns about privacy in reviews but eBird allows you to have anonymous ids if that is a concern. That is not specific to this app. There were problems with a recent release which broke the checklists but that seems to have been fixed on both my iOS devices. The developers respond fairly quickly. This is a great free app although if you like it maybe consider contributing to eBird to fund future development in their platform. It produces useful information to scientists at a time when bird populations are plummeting.

Doesn’t function at all. Keeps telling me to enter password to sign in. Or reset password. I’ve tried all kinds of things to get it to work. There is no contact information on app. I even deleted app and reinstalled. Tried setting up new account. Pretty a waste of time. Sad because this use to be a nice app for birding.

EBird has offered a checklist-only version for ... how long? And the website is useless on mobile. This app shouldn’t have the eBird name with 1% of the functionality of the website, in my opinion!

App does not work at all. It is stuck in a “reset password loop”. Gave up after 6 password resets! Doesn’t say much good for Cornell University.
