Useful and easy to use

dothefandance

I enjoy the layout and the simple, repetitive exercises. My biggest issue, which I imagine isn’t widespread, is that using the keyboard to do the exercises, it often holds the note after I press a key, and I end up listening to a dissonance underneath what I’m doing. Annoying, but not terrible. I also wish there were more goals, maybe, not that I’ve even gone through them all. All in all, good and useful but just a minor bug.

Very easy to use and super helpful

My ears are getting better.

Rhythm notation

Overall a great app. Except for the rhythm notation, which is not very formal. I really enjoyed it.

Really Versatile

I've started using this app after "seeing" a lot of holes in my musical ear. For someone who relied on his eyes and tactile abilities to keep afloat in music, this app is a must. Easy to use, with a lot of options to let the user make the lessons as simple or advanced as one wants.

Super fun

Seems like a great app and it does not cost anything. Fun exercises to play anytime you have a bit of time. Not sure if it is improving my musical abilities but I am enjoying it at least!

Says I got 90% when I got 100%

If I were a perfectionist who wanted my gold stars I would hate this app for giving me 90s when I know I got 100s. However I am secure knowing it in my head even if the app doesn’t think so. ? Good basic ear training app. Took me a minute to figure out how to do the rhythm one since there are no rests at least in the first few.

Very diverse

PTTW

Just about any ear-training exercise you could think of! The only complaint is when it plays very low notes, because you can hear so many overtones at the same time, especially when using the iPhone speaker. I was using one of the interval exercises, and one low interval sounded just like a major root triad. All I could do was guess which 2 notes it was really playing, and of course I got it wrong!

Great idea but hard to play

W1ley

It's good training but also very difficult to navigate the piano keys. Performance on my iPhone 7+ and now XR is similarly clumsy. Too bad.

Fantastic

There are paid apps that aren’t nearly this good. This one hits the mark
