Game play

cubstargazer

I have been playing this game since the original ones from the PC. But lately while doing dungeon to dungeon playing, i am getting level like 150-200 ones while i am only 46. This is not fair at all. Need to be closer match ones.

Piece of $**t cash in

Don't give it money. It takes the fun out of the classic game, and fills in the gaps with loading times. Sometimes hours to destroy one block of dirt. The only way around the loading is with, yes you guessed it, micro transactions. Don't give them time, or money. Go to good ol games and play the original

Amazing game

Keeper of lost Souls

Love everything. It's almost as good as the pic versions. My only issue is the gems and dreadstones are Impossible to get unless you pay or wait forever. Imps cost too much.

Love it

Good Game Ruined by Economy

The game play is fun and a fairly challenging. I'd like more complexity but it's okay as is. The build times are t bad. Waiting12 hours to 5 days for something to build adds realism, something to look foreword to, and incentive to come back to the game. Where the game falls completely flat is in its economy. Gems are the real currency of the game which can be earned by digging or completing quests. The pay out is absurdly low. The only real way to play the game is by spending $50-75 dollars for gems. I'm okay with paying for a boost but the game should be functional without having to spend $25+. IMHO they completely ruined what would be a good game.

Good time killer

Fun game when your not waiting on stuff to do. I love the sounds and narrator of this game. Wish they maid a legit Dungeon Keeper for the Switch or the 3ds..

Patience is the key

I like this game. It is enough like the original DK and has the same elements that keep me playing other tower defense games, but it cannot be overstated that games like these require a lot of patience. With games like this that I enjoy I go ahead and spend the cash to buy the first builder. In this case it is $5. I do this because I am myself a developer and I know how much effort it takes to make a reasonably good app run properly. So $5 is fine. This game is generous enough with gems that it is easy to get the second builder with the gems collected within the first few days, and 4 builders is enough to go with. The game itself is fun. There are endless ways to rearrange your dungeon. Unlike other tower games you are able to test your defenses by fighting yourself in a mock battle with no costs or consequences. The ability to slap your imps to double their speed is funny and like most aspects of this game come out of the source material. Yes, you could spend hours watching timers countdown but that is silly. I have added this game to my stable of tower games and cycle between them. Age of empires, clash of clans, dungeon keeper, boom beach, Star Wars all are similarly focused on being exciting in the short term and incredibly dull in between and foster an urge to pay gems to speed up the experience. Don't fall for that! Play it when it is ready and go do something else in between. Maybe try Shadow Era, a really reasonable iOS CCG that can always use new players.

Love Dungeon Keeper

TheTerminator 2000

I love the computer version better, but this is good. Love it.

Just ok

BoilerALE

I loved the original Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2 and this doesn't really match that style. This is more Clash of Clans and A tower defense hybrid. ...and that is somewhat ok. I can accept that. The return of the original voice actor of Horny is worth one, maybe even two stars all by itself. But my biggest gripe is the matchmaking. Very high level players can attack low level dungeons and you are helpless to defend against them. I had 1500 trophies and was wiped out by just the immortal of someone who had 17,000. A much higher dungeon level than mine. This is the sort of thing that keeps me from spending any money in this game. Higher level players should either not be allowed to attack low level players or at least the penalty for doing so should be such that it's not worth their time and the impact to the lower level player's progress isn't so damaging.
