Great app and breaking down barriers in home routers

Great app! I was surprised by the capabilities available for monitoring a router from my phone, it's what I have been wanting for so long. Router itself is great, typical Synology quality software that blows the doors off anything on the market. Being able to monitor home internet connections and security remotely is a huge plus!

Really user friendly app. Much better than their desktop interface even though it's not as feature rich. Suggestion: needs a universal on off slider for enabling and disabling parental controls across all devices.

DS Router works great I just wish they would update the app so that when you have 2FA enabled you don't have to enter it every time you open the app. Hopefully they update it to give you the option to allow you to access it for 30 days after putting in your 2FA code like that do with there other apps.

Updated 7-30-2017 I realize that the iPhone and iPad used to be limited in what these devices could do. NOT ANYMORE! There is no reason that the iOS apps all of them could not perform the same functions as the Web interface. I am not saying to make the iOS app identical to the web interface just to include all router and NAS functions, Please. The reason is that the iOS apps are just easier to use. Do to how IOS is designed around the touch interface. The iOS touch interface and 4x3 aspect ratio really make a big usability difference. I love the Synology platform but I am fed up with the limited use of some of the DS APPS and other things that don't work. I get no feed back that Synology is even working on the issue or even understands the issue. Well, I will keep giving the DS apps one star in hopes that Synology will fix/ update the issues with all the DS apps.

This app can already do more than most. With the latest update, they added all the features I requested. They added the ability to update, schedule and see firmware, plus detailed traffic reports. They even added device naming! 5 stars!!!! Adding the ability to interact with or at least see installed packages would be a bonus!

Absolutely love SRM but this app needs some work. Not sure if this bug is only present for iPhone X users but on the Security tab, the first Port Forwarding rule is hidden. You only see it if you pull the list down. Would love to see this app optimized for iPhone X. For a company that makes great management software this is a little weak.

Can no longer use link info on wireless overview. Worse yet, you must force the app close every time to use any other functionality. Very poor QA on this one!!!!
Latest Update ruined functionality on iPhone 6s Plus

This app was working perfectly until this most recent update. It may have fixed problems with the iPhone X but now on my iPhone 6s Plus I’m unable to toggle between the traffic monitor and link rate tabs. I have to tap and tap and tap some more. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled but that didn’t help. Please fix this “ new “ problem! Update: 2-9-2017 Synology has sent out an update and now the app is back to working great again! I’m gonna upgrade my two star review to 5 stars! This app is great when it’s working right. Thanks Synology for fixing the issue!

I love the router. I love my many Synology boxes - 8 and 18 drive units. I think DSM is a decent piece of Linux management software. I think SRM is a very nice porting of DSM to a router. This app, however, leaves much to be desired. What it does it does adequately. The basic overview in real-time is even quite good. The fact one cannot fully administer the router through the app - probably 60% of functions are unavailable - is highly annoying. Why can’t I access the DHCP table? Why can’t I add to the DHCP reservations? These are fairly basic admin functions. I wouldn’t mind except that there is NO WAY to access SRM via iOS except using the app. It CANNOT be reached by a browser. That is UNACCEPTABLE!!! The DSM app offers desktop mode to obviate the fact it doesn’t allow access to most functions, why doesn’t the DS Router app??? With that it would have 3-4 stars.

Would be nice you could skip Windows totally in managing and setup for the SRM.
