Too many changes to the app. Hard to keep up with the changes. Some changes have been for the worst. Once a great app.
Version 4.2.0 is so slow its almost unusable. Tried on two different devices. Update: Upgraded to 4.2.1. Software locks up on multiple devices and loses communication after takeoff. Had to switch to Pix4D. I was still able to use DroneDeploy on the Android platform. 4.3.1 Update: This is still unsafe to use with all my iOS devices. Mission planning is slow, but bearable. The telemetry after takeoff is delayed severely making flight unsafe.
Dronedeploy has a sleek interface making it extremely easy to use for all users. They offer many tutorials as well to help out those who may not be as familiar. It pairs well with all DJI products and allows you to do more than you would have ever dreamed of. I am very satisfied with Drondeploy.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. $99 a month as a hobbyist is ridiculous.
I’ve used DroneDeploy since it was release and have always stuck with it, even after trying other apps. Suddenly, with all these new updates (which don’t seem to improve anything, only change them), my Inspire 2 is no longer useable because it can’t get the GPS reading from the drone. The Android version still works with with the Inspire 2 (with GPS reading), and the Inspire still works fine with other apps. This iPad app still works with my Magic 2 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro. Unfortunately, on fields I fly that require terrain aware, I’m forced to use MapPilot, which is inferior in every other way, but it flies my Inspire 2. I’ll update this rating when I can use this with the Inspire 2 again.
Ok, first off, I just want to sign in. But they ask for my company. I don’t own a company but I wanna sign in. So now I can’t sign in for this, since I don’t work for or own a company. So now I’m stuck with a terrible app that barely works for my drone, all cause I can’t sign in for this. I can’t log in cause I haven’t tried this before, so now I can’t fricken use it.
You can sign up for a free trial but I imagine you pay to continue.
This software will run an autonomous flight of your drone to collect data. However, it bypasses the ability to create a trackable flight log. My drone was lost due to a software issue on their end. The support team offers no support and I am out of a drone. Stay away if you want to keep your drone.
I use gmail aliases in order to better filter email. This email address is also my username. Upon registering on the web, I used the normal ‘+’ in the address. I was able to login to the web with no issue. When trying to login through the iOS app, I’m unable to. I’ve had support change the username to one that includes a ‘-‘ and the same issue is there; web is successful but the iOS app is not. I’m surprised I’m the only person to have experienced this.
Can’t open the iPad version at all, totally worthless.
