Good except attachments

evanstonryan

Dispatch is a great app- with the exception of how it handles, or doesn’t.. attachments. I would use it as my daily email app, however it doesn’t handle attachments well. Specifically, when you get an attachment, opening it can be hit or miss. I can get an email with an included attachment, click on the attachment icon, name or anything and can’t open it. Re-open the email and then I can. It’s frustrating when I need to open an attachment in a hurry and can get it open. Using Spark instead and it handles attachments reliably.

Good app

Does not work with 2 Step authentication

No true sync re folder management

TreoRenegade

After spending time moving read mail to discrete folders, a few hours after I saw they remained in the InBox in all other apps. So much for this app and Inbox Zero. (Yes, Backgrd Refresh on)

GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!

ABSOLUTELY life changing. Here's the thing - I have a Google and an iCloud email. Sure, I can check them both together on any app out there. But I can actually PROCESS out any garbage from both with DISPATCH; then take care of business quickly. PLUS you can customize your options quickly and without effort. Get this app dudes / dudette's / YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. After I got a year or so ago; I deleted gmail, turned all notifications off of mail and moved this next to my messages app. Yeah, it's that good. Peace!

Moving on

I like the Dispatch workflow and UI, but the app doesn't get the basics right. Attach more than one photo to an email? App freezes. Switch folders on a Outlook.com account? Maybe it'll work, often not. And it crashes a multiple times a day. In a year, none of these have gotten better. Apple Mail has, so moving back to that.

Missing basing functionality

I really wanted to use this app after reading about it on macstories.com, but even though I love triaging with built in actions I can't use the app. I can't attach files form iCloud or Onedrive to me email messages. This is extremely frustrating. I am not going to change where all of my work files are stored. This is disappointing, because I really like many features built in to dispatch. For this reason I am sticking with Spark as my go to iOS mail app. I'm very disappointed that I can't use this interesting app

Unresponsive support; flaw in responding to emails

333M333

Dispatch has lots of fantastic features but there are 2 problems. One, when you hit reply to respond to an email, you can't see the other person's email to you as you compose your response. (You can choose whether the person receiving your response will see their original email, but you can't actually see the original email yourself as you are typing your reply.) If you want to be able to comment on something the person wrote to you and if you need to remember the exact words they used, you either have to (1) swipe back and forth from the original email and the email you are composing or (2) copy the relevant part of the original email so you can paste it into your response and view it while you are responding, or (3) you have to have a better memory than I do. Two, if you have a question for the support team, they might not respond. I emailed support 4.5 weeks ago with a simple question and received no response. I followed up twice with the same question and still got no response.

Nice...but still missing a few things

Grady S.

I like the triaging functions of this app...however, as other reviewers have said I both want (and often need) the original email visible as I compose my reply. There is often dates, times, and other relevant info in the senders email that I need to react to. A minor gripe- I have "Show profile photo" turned out, and "use contact photo" enabled (in fact all three options are enabled), but the app does not show any contacts whose photo is generated by their gmail account.

Smart email for productive people

This is a well-thought-out app for iOS power users. The more I use it, the more I find to love: TextExpander with the native keyboard! Dispatch to OmniFocus! Intuitive movement in the UI! 1Password integration for email account authorization! The features are powerful and discoverable, although not all of them are intuitively apparent to a first time user. It has taken me several visits to get things set right. But that speaks to the app's customizability more than anything.
