Well, I guess it’s good that I can still access the books I’ve already purchased but I don’t see why Disney would want to offer only one option. Some people (myself included) like to read on multiple platforms and only use Story Central occasionally. I was just about to purchase more tokens for the kids to pick some books but there’s no way I’m going to get roped into a monthly subscription (especially at that price). Good luck with your new subscription plan and when you pull all of your shows from Netflix and Hulu to start your own channel, don’t expect me to buy into that too. We love Disney/ Marvel/ Henson/ Lucasfilm but there’s only so much change you can shake out of our pockets.

I love the wide selection of books & comics that's awesome. I'm a large critic of the subscription model. I think it's an unfair way to do things. I think that the subscription should be replaced with the books themselves costing money.
Taking away the one year subscription was a big mistake

Just like others my one year subscription will not auto renew. Looks like the only option now is the $7.99 a month. I originally signed up for $40.00 for the year and it will not auto renew. The app has always been buggy and slow. No way I will be paying that price for something that only works half the time. Looks like they will be losing another customer.
Frustrating at best - outright thievery at worst

This app consistently fails to work as it is supposed to. Whether freezing, closing unexpectedly, or not playing as it supposed to, it is rare that it works correctly. It is not worth the subscription of $7.99/month and really not even worth taking up space on your phone for the few books that are accessible without a subscription.

We have had this app for 6 months and love it! I do think it could be a little cheaper per month however, just one book from the store would cost me the same if not more so we definitely get our money’s worth. We use this app every day! We have had no problems with opening up the books on our IPad. The app works great every time. If I could make a suggestion, please have more options for pre level/level 1 reading books.

I had to uninstall after the last update and reinstall it and now everything works okay again Love this app and I'm very happy it's working :)
Last update totally broke it

The last update broke it completely. It won't open at all. And I pay the monthly subscription. We haven't been able to use it for over a week. Please fix this piece of crap.
