Was Great... not the case now

Dreviews15

This app used to be great when you could buy books occasionally. Disney changed this to a subscription service without any warning. For those of us that have purchased several books, the subscription does not make sense. I plan to go back to buying books through Amazon.

Hate subscription based apps

Vyconis

Being able to get a book here or there was the main reason I got this app a while back. Now that they are subscription based, I hate it. I only want to get a book every now and then so my kids can enjoy them. This is just Disney cash grabbing.... What happened to the Disney I grew up with?

Can't buy a book anymore

CassBloom

My daughter and I loved previewing and then choosing new books... now the tokens and individual books are no longer available... please bring this back! We loved being able to browse by character as well... please bring back the old purchasing format... we don't want the subscription... then there's no excitement of buying a new book for a special occasion anymore!

Subscription is nice but

It's a pain recovering my account that I subscribed with

Awards interfere with reading

Cej5668

Every time I try to open a book for my child I get an “award” which then goes to a blank screen and no book appears. I tried to find a way to turn off the awards to no avail. The awards are cute as long as they don’t stop the actual usage of the books! Kind of frustrating. My rating would go to a 5 if that was fixed.

Wanted to gift an annual subscription but see that option is gone

Love the app and all the content.

The app doesn't even work anymore

Marubeary

Terrible app because it is broken and there is absolutely no support from the developers. I can't even open the app anymore. I have spent A LOT of money on this app by paying for a subscription for months. Yet when I try to access all of the downloads I had on my subscription, of course I can't access them, since the entire app is down. It will act like it is going to load then just shuts down. Wth is wrong with the app and the developers for not fixing the bugs? An app like this doesn't deserve my money or anyone's for that matter. Just to try and help another person out, I've now realized that the majority of Disney apps I have downloaded have all eventually stopped working. The only exception may be tsum tsum. Support for the app totally disappears as well. Don't spend any money on any Disney app just to be safe.

Pulled my subscription

When I purchased through Disney I was advertised that I could lock in a yearly subscription price that would continue to bill at that price in the future instead they cancelled my subscription tonight. I’m not paying $7.99 (not even $5.99) for an app my kids use sparingly. The right price for this app is $3.99/month. I also pay for other Disney apps with more reasonable pricing and better functionality. Digital books are a great idea but the reality of this app is content is repetitive and stories can be awkward to read at times. It isn’t friendly for children to have to wait for downloaded content as children have fleeting attention.

No purchased books saved

MoATX

Spent lots of money on books, but none were saved after the app was updated, as others have said. We feel cheated, and are disappointed that Disney would put their name on this.

Removed my annual subscription
