Good music channels but...

It’s the ONLY streaming app that stops streaming to my Chromecast Audio after 10-15 minutes — I have to continually open the app and press play to restart the music. Enabling/disabling the auto-lock screen feature does not help. None of my other streaming apps (Spotify, Pandora, Roon, Google Play, SomaFM, and iHeart Radio) exhibit this behavior. It’s the main reason why I am NOT continuing with my paid subscription. Secondly, I don’t hear any audio quality difference whatsoever between the Free vs Premium plans when casting from the iOS app to my KEF LS50W speakers (via Chromecast Audio into optical input). App audio output is set to 320k MP3.

I’ve been listening to di.fm since around 2004. Their programming, shows and channels throughout the last 15 years has been second to none. But this app is bad. Like really bad. I’m not renewing my subscription because of it. Here are my complaints: A) streaming live show cuts out seemingly at random with perfect/full bars reception, especially when in a vehicle B) between live shows, the channel doesn’t automatically tune to the next show, but instead plays a stream of songs until you manually change away and back to the channel C) changing a channel often results in buffering and buffering until you have to force close and reboot the app It all makes for a very rough experience to try listening to and flipping between what are otherwise amazing trance, progressive and epic trance channels. Until they fix it, I will listen to podcasts on demand.

I have enjoyed it for a long time for my workouts. Please look into supporting Apple Watch for this app for the many who may plan to transition over to Apple Watch as well.

Buggy but worth it

Great app when it works. I have to constantly force close the app and re open it when I get into my car but have zero issues with any other music app. After a while it’ll just crash and not play until I reboot the phone. It also happens on my iPad so not device related. You just cannot beat the genre selection.

I don’t normally write reviews and I love you guys (14+ year user) but the new icon looks so low budget. I’m paying for premium - make it premium quality!

There’s nothing else like it. It is great that I can go back and listen to entire shows that I missed. I listen to it while I work with a BrainWave app that helps me focus. I can get a lot of good work done with this music in the background.

..best electronic music app on the market that i’ve found thus far..all the genres & then some..BUT..if the developers ever read this..PLEASE MAKE OUR “LIKED” LISTS PLAYABLE..just a thought..much love..
