Not updated for iPhone X

xxJaeger

Paying customer for years. App looks really bad on iPhone X (cropped just like all other non-updated apps / apps that don’t use auto layout and safe area). Please update the app.

There’s always something on that I want to listen to!

What happened?

Toast Ninja

Great service, quality, variety, but then they forced an update to the app. However the new app now continually asks to update the app and won't actually play music.

Confused? Not working any more.

Duskic

I open the app, I get a prompt “you need to update”. Redirected to app store. I upgrade the app. I click open, redirected back to the app. I still get the prompt “you need to update”. Redirected to app store. Can’t upgrade, now I can only open the app. Hence, no more music or working app. Now what?

They made it bad

It was good before but now they screwed it up. cancelled my subscription.

Not a fan of the new app update

SDoctorD

DI.FM was my absolute favorite music app, prior to the newest update. I would listen to the app everyday while studying, working out, cleaning, etc. I loved how each station had multiple sets throughout the day, and it wasn’t solely single tracks. With this new update, I’m no longer able to listen to the same number of DJ shows/sets like Mellomania, Voices of Autumn/Winter/Spring, etc. I miss the old DI.FM interface with live-streaming instead of this Pandora knockoff. I was considering actually investing in the brand until this new update. The “suits” can lecture you over graphs, charts, etc. but trust that your users know best. If possible, PLEASE bring back live-streaming/previous interface. Thank you.

Frequent Ads

Hey, I get it, you need to make money. But do you really have to play an annoying ad every five minutes? They’re not even anything remotely interesting or fitting.

Listen everyday all day

Been a DI supporter since release. Love the music! One comment: Please update the iPhone app to fit the iPhone X screen...

Still Crashes on Load

Stormwaltz

UPDATE 2: I posted my original review in... March 2017, I think. As of December 2017, the app STILL crashes on load 100% of the time. The last time I updated this review, DI contacted me asking for crash logs, which I was glad to provide. The last communication I had from them was back in the summer. They vaguely suggested I could try updating iOS, though the version I'm using (9.2) is, and always has been, more recent than the one listed in the requirements in the app store and on their web site (8.2). UPDATE: I posted this a few months back. Despite a few updates since then, the DI app still crashes during startup 100% of the time. Silent crash 100% of the time while loading with this version. App is not useable on 5S, iOS 9.2.

Go back to your roots

Einald Jeff

This app/website used to be so great. Now it just turned into Pandora. Bring back the option to listen to a live stream of music, without having to start a whole new song from the beginning. Because of this, I will stop paying for DI and move back to Pandora, since it’s cheaper and does the same thing. One of the many things that attracted me to this service was the ability to experience so much music without having to start from the beginning. On top of that, the app became very buggy. Stops and starts and goes to the next song, destroying my good mood. Bye bye Digitally Imported. You were good and unique while it lasted. I won’t be back and won’t be paying for premium service (like I have for years) until you get back to your roots and let us listen to live songs, rather than the Pandora way of listening to an entire song from beginning to end. I can live with the bugginess of the app, so I’m not contacting IT support.
