From the first 10 seconds inside the app you will see how polished it looks you can definitely tell there was some thought put into the UX/UI the availability of typefaces and pre built vectors to add to images makes it feel way more premium than anything else I’ve ever tried. I would go as far as calling it “pocket illustrator”. If you are someone who manages social media pages and are in the constant need of creating content this app will allow you to do from your phone. Even the app settings have so many features that truly show craftsmanship. By the way the pro version is totally worth the investment since it unlocks way more features and access to prebuilt templates to save you even more time in a crunch. Check it out for yourself!!

I loved using this app before the latest update. Now I can’t see any of the filters or screen blending when I overlay images until I’ve already done it-resulting in many projects of the same photos because I can’t see what I’m doing until it’s already done. Also, when I click “back” on the history, it doesn’t take the filter off. It doesn’t seem to work for me. Unsplash never loads fully so I only see two to five photos where before I could scroll through many images to find one I liked.

I bought this loved it used it all the time for my books. Now I have to buy it again and nothing works I need to do a quick teaser and it won’t let me go past the buy a subscription. The photo in the gallery won’t load. I can’t find the overlay option. I get the updates but why do I have to buy it again for it to be crappy to use!

I believe I paid for this app and the update just did away with the filters that were the only real valuable thing on the app. Do not buy. Response to developers: What I think you mean to say is that you took away 20+ filters (including ALL of the interesting fx filters and almost all of the mood filters with color splotches and flares). You then put lower resolution versions of some of those filters in your PicLab app that can only be used if we advertise for you on social media. Then you put some bland filters in your designlab app to replace all of the valuable ones. I understand having to change and adapt to make a buck, but y'all made the app into a shell of what it was. Now, the only valuable thing about designlab (PicLab HD) are the blending options. Bad form. ... ok, you added an eraser option to the pic overlay function, I'll give you that. But your mood and fx filters are what made this app worth using. Now that they're gone, I'll be searching for another solution
PAID for and Lost Functionality with New Version

This used to be my go to app to create special memory photos like just engaged, just born, etc and be able to add writing and cute artwork. I purchased this app and now it wants me to pay $19.99 yearly for a subscription to get back access to the artwork I had previously. Now I only get a limited amount of artwork. Very dissatisfied in the recent update when it “changed” from PicLab to DesignLab. It just seems so wrong to PAY and be required to PAY again.

Absolutely LOVE this app when it works. I am constantly posting social media for our real estate company. Love that I can go back to edit my original post of “just listed” and change it to pending and sold. It was my go to app for the first month but in the last few weeks, it makes me scream. I spend time creating something only to have the app crash EVERY TIME I try to save the picture to my phone or share it. Please please please fix this issue!
