With this new update the app won’t let you rehearse more than eight lines without subscribing, so unless you pay $11 a month you cannot use this app pretty much. I have never received a script that has eight lines in it so whoever changed the business model for this app is a greedy fool. Such a bummer because I used to absolutely love this app until now. I’m going to look for another line running app. Not even worth a download, I promise!

Did y’all really just put a paywall on this app?? What was the issue with simply allowing people to record from the app, if someone wants more folders that’s fine… but now people can’t record 1 audition. With a few lines without paying the app? Will be deleting.

This app was awesome, until the new update now require users to pay a ridiculous amount of money to use it. Ill be deleting it and switching to a new (free) line reader app.

This app really helped me a lot during quarantine. However when I updated, it’s now asking me to pay $80+ a year for the same service that was free before and unfortunately that’s way out of my price range and the price range of my fellow actors that began to depend on it. I would happily pay money for the app but it’s just to much. Dang.

I loved this app until it randomly changed and updated and now you can’t rehearse lines for free. I was so thankful for this app but after seeing the yearly cost of $83 I am boycotting. I thought this app is so nice, they know what it’s like to be a struggling actor trying to make a living doing what they love. Instead once again another capitalist agenda. Rip off the people with the least amount of money but the most drive to do what they love. Rip coldread. ?

I’m so sad your latest update reduced the free features. I completely recommend this app to learn scripts and I was using it to record short self-tapes. But after the last update it started limiting me to only 8 lines and now I can’t add any new scripts unless I subscribe. :-(
A must for busy actors!!!

What an incredible discovery of this app. A friend told me about it because I’m constantly looking for someone to read/rehearse/self tape with for auditions. This app literally saves me in those situations where I have a one day prep time and need to get it done. It’s been thought out very well, and covers almost everything an actor needs from an app in order to get his/her self taping done ! Anytime you need someone to read with you or help you, this app is available. Not only that but you can also do your actual self tape recording here as well. Best part is that every time I’ve had a small problem or glitch or something, I’ve notified on the app and the next week or two it’s been taken care of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ACTORS

I used to really enjoy this app and it was very helpful, but I am disappointed to see that you have now begun charging users in my opinion a ridiculous amount of money to practice pieces above 5 lines. I am extremely disappointed and will no longer be using/recommending this app to my friends.
