Just returned from visit to NYC for 2020 New Years celebrations. This app was amazing and absolutely gave us confidence to visit many places that we would not normally have attempted to go to. Very concise options and instructions regarding length of walking vs bus/subway travel etc Will keep this app on my phone for future travel plans! Thank you for making this mini vacation to one of the busiest places on the planet a total success!

Honestly the best app I’ve ever used to get around a city. I was recommended it by my orientation leader when I got to college—I go to AU in Washington, DC—and it has made my life 100x better when it comes to getting around a new city. I even use it when I go home in New York City because of how amazing it is wi try showing updated information on trains and busses. Everyone should use this app I recommend it to every person I meet when I notice they’re not using it to get around. We should all take more public transportation and less single person vehicles! Also they’re design gimmick is super cute 10/10

This app was invaluable for helping me get around Milan, Italy. Knew all the metro lines and stops, got us home on foot at 11pm from San Siro Stadium to our rented apartment almost 2 miles away. Great app. Now it needs to add Florence, Italy to the roster!

I couldn’t find my way out of a cardboard box and somehow this app has gotten me around London (almost) perfectly every time.
The best walking directions

Citymapper does walking directions the right way! It faces the way you are walking and doesn’t spin around endlessly like Google Maps. It’s zoom setting for walking directions sets the perfect amount so you can see where you are going but not too far away. There is a quick toggle between close up and the whole route that is useful.
