Issue with IOS devices

We cannot use Citrix Workspace on IOS to Access our Corp Citrix farm via Netscaler GW. Error: Could Not Logon CAMAuthManErrorCodeInteractionNot-Allowed It’s been this way since Workspace auto updated the old Receiver App I’ve had a case opened for months with Citrix and they seemingly gave up. All things being equal the CR App for IOS works as expected. Thought I’d post it here to let others know and see if a Dev had any ideas.

Terrible, terrible UI

This is the worst remote desktop app on the market. Nobody would use it if they had any alternative. I have used many VNC/RDP-type apps over the past few years, but Citrix Workspaces is in a (junior) league of its own. Citrix’s idea of how basic functionality should work — scrolling, right-clicking, pulling up the keyboard — is somewhere between “illogical” and “sadistic.” While moving around the screen, zooming, typing, and basic clicking are all somewhat functional on their own, any combination of these quickly devolves into a frustrating experience. Among other issues, right-click requires an oddly-behaved ‘virtual mouse’. It is also impossible to set the screen resolution to anything modern, or even just sane. Even scrolling is odd and inconsistent. Critically, the app regularly “clicks” the remote-desktop-mouse when I am not trying to, ALL the time. This has severe consequences for basic UI navigation, and can have far worse consequence for user interfaces to important systems. The entire corporate world would be better off if Citrix terminated or reassigned the teams involved with this app (design, development, and testing — they all botched it), and instead bought out the developers of an app that is actually competent in this space.

Little quirks make a bad experience

The intent of the app is good, I can conveniently connect to my workspace from my ipad. However, a couple of oddities: The windows desktop I connect to does this odd re-centering of the screen every time the keyboard pops up, making the text I am typing not visible...essentially the display does not stay where I put it but reconfigures based on if the keyboard is visible. I switch between native ipad apps (eg for notes) and my desktop and it has to “reconnect” each time. Older versions did not do this.

Works great on both my Ipad and MacBook

Love this software

I use my computer on my MacBook, iPad and even iPhone. I love the flexibility this has given me. And I really love that I no longer haul around a work laptop.

Never can log in. Error messages. So NOT user friendly. I wish my employer would choose different program. Absolutely hate it! Wasted so much of my time!
