This app does not work well

TG_Review

I never review apps, but since this has been such of a pain to deal with I feel compelled to make this review. Got the app to manage my two young children’s iPads. For some reason the app detected usage of their iPad throughout the day while they were at school separated from the iPads, and thus burned through all of their alloyed time for the day while not using the iPads. Then after unsubscribing and removing the app the iPads remained locked out of the internet do to the established router settings after unsubscribing and removing the app. Save yourself the headache and avoid this app. If it worked as advertised it would be great, but it doesn’t. Download this app and you will be sorry.

Junk

Ryanw83

Have to use a seperate app outside of Orbi to block traffic. Need to pay for upgrades. Rarely gives MAC address to indentify hardware. Doesn’t give you online status. Just crappy

So buggy!

TonyT2010

Nice concept, but so buggy! Cannot update profile, canot update changes. After I started using Circle, the router goes dead every a few hours that I need to restart every so often. The Nighthawk router used to be more stable and only needs reset every few weeks or months.

Circle is trashy and terrible

ok circle is not good

Circle won’t do anything, it will make a kid more mad. This is why circle is bull crap. When you install circle on a device you have an option to manage time on a device or limit apps and stuff. Circle is not meant for time usage because, when a kid uses their devices and turns it off while using internet their time limit can run up. It’s only meant for limiting certain apps. It also slows down internet speed very BADLY. You also have to pay money for this stupid time limit app. It is dog water!

Blatant subscription fees

PanicMoose

I get when an app needs a subscription because there’s an ongoing cost to providing the service, Eg cloud storage. But the premium subscription for this app is exorbitant considering there’s no ongoing cost to providing the service. Premium features should be a one time charge for an app like this, not another monthly fee!!

Adult filter is absurdly restrictive - I have to allow DisneyPlus.com!

dan-seattle

For some reason, the adult filter setting in Circle is strangely excessive. Here are an example of the sites that are blocked when I have Explicit NOT allowed. There are the most family friendly you can get: DisneyPlus.com OAClub.org (family friendly drama shows) TheChosen.TV (this is a Jesus show!) SAMBICA.com (a Christian camp) VisitSam.org (Seattle art museum)

Stopped working

bob@8729037168

I paid for a year, replaced iPhone and the app stopped working. I clicked that I was the admin and send new pin, which game me an error message. Circle tells me to call Netgear, Netgear places me on hold. I have spent hours on the phone this week and now just want a refund. Now I have to find out how to get a refund for a purchase a few months ago. What a waste and loss of $49.99

Do not recommend

Teal_Llamacorn

Horrible had absolutely awful time setting it up on my phone and figuring how to work it my kids kept on unplugging it no matter what I did. Do not recommend just use screen time on iPhone instead would give zero stars if I could.

Good, but not great

drSpockwa

I installed and use this app as part of my Orbi mesh wifi purchase. It’s easy to use. But device discovery is not as good as the Netgear Orbi management. This app should provide more information about devices that are discovered, so I can put them in the proper profile.

Not so good

DinDude

It works, if it works. It randomly stops working. Following steps of restarting router, deteling app, restarting phone, all those doesn’t seem to work. Only thing works is wait. It suddenly starts working. But you will loose time and value able info.
