Christmas Eve - Midnight's Call ...not your typical holiday story

Dracyy

It's a little early for Christmas games but this one from ERS isn't bad. Beautiful artwork, has transporting map with task indicators, custom difficulty and the ability to change difficulty during gameplay but no diary, collect a few presents here and there but no collectables of note, no morphing objects etc. puzzles pretty simple, HO straightforward, storyline very simple. Decent time waster but not spectacular.

Call Me at Midnight!

Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call is another little game from ERS. I like it, but think it needs either a more complicated plot, or more clear directions. Without a Hint button, I would have been traversing frozen planets without a clue! The Hint and Skip work well, and you have a Map as well. You play as a twin sister. Her twin, Odri, fell through the ice while skating, and was assumed to be dead. Now adult, you discover that Odri is alive, and is freezing her planet to gain control. (Did I mention that she is now an evil witch?) You must stop her and restore all the damaged items. Nice plot, but you find yourself wandering around wondering what to do. However, the art work and music are both lovely, so I consider this game to be worth the sale price. Easy puzzles, for the most part. Along the way, you get Santa's snowman as a helper who can climb or go into small spaces. As you accomplish specific tasks, you get Christmas decorations for your home. Perfect for the holidays!

Not Your Warm and Fuzzy Christmas Game

Snakes everywhere, along with spiders, rats, amputated body parts and injured characters. Strange juxtaposition of a friendly snowman helper and a dark storyline. A few cute animals along the way. Responsive and quickly refreshing Hint button. Interactive map is mediocre. Mediocre HOGs, puzzles (several mazes). I wish there was a sequel to the Nutcracker game. This game is not meant for children or the faint at heart.

This game was glitchy and unplayable. The map was useless and the games made no sense. I gave up because it was so annoying. I should have known better to expect anything else from ERS! Also if there had been a trial, I would never have purchased it. BigFish is ENTRAPPING us by first making us purchase sub-par games without a trial. Another example was the Sable Maze game. Do not buy it! It was nothing like the second two. It was obviously an old and dated game and it was terrible! It gave me a migraine too, Dracyy, and I got my money refunded! Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to the Dream Team Elite and all the reviewers who love us!

Pretty lame

I just started playing and already it's not holding my attention. Doesn't come close to the perfection of those created by "elephant" and I'll not be buying "sale" games til I see some reviews.

Yes..you CAN request refunds

Since big fish has decided that they no longer want to offer trial periods for their games...people have been forced to purchase sight-unseen. And without knowing who the developer is can make a real tragedy. There are some developers that routinely make great games...others not so much. And of course, some prefer certain developers than others. There's been a loud outcry from customers...we want the trials back. Or at least tell us who the developer is before we commit our money to purchasing a game. However....we CAN request...and revive...refunds. You have to wait a few days for your email from Apple (cute how Apple purposely waits a few dates before sending a receipt, huh? That's because they know people are less likely to regret a purchase after a few days have gone by...but no w you know their game.). In the email with the list of games you purchased...you can click the button that says "report a problem". It will take you online to a purchase list. Where you can select "request refund" and choose a reason. Of course..if you like the game, it would not make sense to request a refund. But for the games that are less than ideal and aren't worth our money, we need to make our voices heard. People are getting rich off our monies. Which is fine if the games are worth it. But those that aren't shouldn't be funded. And since bf has changed their purchase process...we should too

It was ok

I didn't have any issues with it being glitchy. It may not have been the best but it was far from the worst. It was a great me to play along with my grandson. He didn't have any problem with it. The only issue I saw would be some of the hidden objects, when looking for an animal, it was origami that looked more like crumbled paper. A few things like that. All in all, it was ok and I thought it was worth the $3.99.

Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call Don't Answer

I gave it a go...and I honestly don't even care to go to the end. It rambles, the story line is bad...oh so badly written, the games are not fun to do, you run around and around and around. Really, I hate doing this but my opinion is maybe a 99 cent game and even then it will be annoying. It needs a storyline, decent editing and something interesting rather than run here, go there. I am voting for the evil queen or princess or whoever she is. If she is smart she will RUN.

WANT FREE TRIAL BACK!

So once again BF has forced us to buy before we try! This game is a knock off version of the PC game! Lynx said it! The map is useless! Yes it tells you where your at, and where u can go? Hmmm okay just because I Can go there doesn't mean I can do something there! This is a terrible story! WHY are you mixing SANTA and EVIL in the same game? Story line is terrible! I don't get it! BIG FISHY GIVE US OUR FREE TRIALS BACK, no we can not get our money back! The ONLY time we can get a REFUND is if there is a TECH problem! READ your terms from APPLE, If you buy you are under the assumption that things are great and your committed, AND BIG FISH KNOWS THIS! I've already requested refunds on now A FEW TERRIBLE games over the last few months FROM BIG FISH! I THINK WE ALL GAMERS NEED TO STOP BUYING FROM BIG FISH UNTIL THEY RETURN THE FREE TRIALS! There are SEVERAL other hidden object game developers we can go to! I buy 98% of BF games Because I was able to TRY BEFORE I BOUGHT! Now I'm boycotting! ERS should know better too, you don't add EVIL TO CHRISTMAS AND SANTA! SHAME ON YOU! I'm giving this game 2 stars because I want my review read!
